Code, you've shown a lot of progress in this thread, no complains on our part. And don't worry, You always get good results and work a lot too, you should be proud of everything you have done.
 
You know Code, what this thread has become is more valuable than you realise... simply because of your moments of "humanity".

Too often we dont understand that guys who look a million dollars, still have days where they hate the gym or that life takes them over and they cant get there or that they slip with their eating or whatever. This thread humanizes your efforts in a way that gives hope to everyone whos trying to improve their fitness.

Today, I had an appointment with an exercise physiologist (a mega qualified personal trainer who has degrees in lots of things but has a far better depth of anatomy and physiology - muscle co-ordination and synergies) and even though he looked a lot like you with low body fat and great porportion, we got talking about "slip ups"... the days you miss exercising... or his occasional slip up with the colonel (KFC is my weakness too if I'm honest... shoot me now ;)).

It put an amazing perspective on things - that dedication and results are about long term results and the big picture - and that we can get too fixated on the short term and our "failures"... that really aren't.

Look at it this way Code... you have made such amazing progress (that we are so grateful that you shared with us) in such a short time. This period of "humanity" that you are going through right now will be meaningless in 12 months or 2 years from now.

But it will still be part of your journey. An important part... one that gives you the perspective to know that being good most of the time is far better than being bad all of the time.

Please don't start another thread with facts and figures... your personal journey - the good and the bad (as you see it) - is a privilege to share with you.

So ... Code ... you beautiful man, and wonderful Guy, please do keep This thread going! It's where we've all come to expect keeping in touch with you. And, starting another would sort of break that continuity.

Keep at it, Man! Even through those times that might not seem so great. We've ALL had those spells!, with something or other. Just keep in mind it's a temporary thing along the more important road of reaching your goals, whatever they may be! (!w!)

That's why I always say ... no matter what ...

You are a truly giving and caring person, I hope you know that.(*8*)

Kyanimal: You've obviously been through alot yourself, and your posts always cheer me up:-) I smile as much as I can.(*8*)

Bounder: After figuring out that I probably won't be able to benchpress that aircraft carrier (even without the planes), my goals are to gain about 10-20 lbs lean mass and get my stamina back to where it used to be. It might take some time (a few years maybe), but I'll get there.

Karabulut: (If you're around here some day) What exactly did you do at winters when you just wanted to stay inside and eat choc chip cookies? Winter is fast approaching here, and I'm feeling the urge for sweets and a blanket;)

One summer of working in the midwestern US with -5F days and I put on 15 pounds. Never again.

Why do you think I endure 110 (43C) degree summers? The winters are in the 60-70 (17-20C) degree range most days. :)

We have an extra bedroom, by the way.
 
Pictures from today.. I've been away from the gym for 10 days due to a flu. I work with so many people and don't get enough sleep, so thats what I get.:-)

Did some arm and back work today, with deadlifts, one handed rows and curls as base exercises.
