I never lived in a dorm or residence, so perhaps I can't relate. But what the hell's wrong with your bed? Are you telling me you can't whack without making noise? If so, I find that hard to believe. Besides, surely you and your roomie aren't always there at the same time...
 
I just used to do it while my roomie was sleeping....or while he was at class....never really became an issue.

I have had sex though with someone whose roommate was in the room sleeping....that made being quiet a fun game.

Being a college guy myself, I'm gonna say get your own place. I've had my own residencies since I was on my own at 17. Moving from place to place, etc. But still, friends of mine have keys to my house so they can come over and relax. Whenever one of them caught me, I just kept going. Don't be ashamed of your body.
