Computer Upgrade Help!

You can use Photoshop? I gave up after V3.0 for the Mac. The current version I'm sure you would have to go to school to learn:(

I've been using Photoshop since they had 4.0, and that was on an old Mac.

Also I've decided to stop, I'm not going to upgrade my computer at all. It's pointless now. So I guess this thread will be no more.

Brandon, we need to find you the ultimate fast puter.

For $15,000 get a Mac 8 core with 3 terrabytes, 16 gig of ram, 2 optical drives, a 23" and 30" monitor and a 3 year warranty. You can re-use your old keyboard and mouse to save money hehe. You might want to get your house rewired first.:)

Games don't work on Mac's, you always need to buy the "Special" games that are compatible with it. Thanks.

I've just decided to not upgrade my computer, plus I'm not a rich man so I won't be buying a new faster computer anytime soon.

So, boot it in windows and use it like a (very fast) pc

My partner is a Mac fan, but I'll just try to find a way of getting the same memory from crucial, or I will wait when me and my partner are living together and we can take the memory back.

At this point because both PNY and Crucial are saying you have to install in matching pairs, I think that is likely the problem. I made an edit to my post above that may have been later than some folks replied so you all might have missed it, but the crucial results say the motherboard has to have the memory installed in pairs.

That means I would need to buy a mouse with a right click.

[slaps Brandon upside the head]
I told you that you could keep your keyboard and mouse:grrr:

You know the pc industry scorned Apple for the mouse. Why do you guys need a TWO button mouse to make it work? And what happened to keyboard shortcuts?

Hey sheep do ya like my new avvy?

:D

Don't listen to him Brandon he doesn't know anything - he loves Macs

I got the trinity and the Audi logo (or was it 3/5ths of the olympics) but what are the 1st and 4th diagrams?

Oh, and yes noelie, you have pretty legs(!)

Well the first link is for a single module which kinda defeats the point if it's a pairing issue and the second link - well you can get the same from Crucial for $30 less.

You really should phone Crucial - I don't understand your reluctance Brandon.

Because I'm afraid of buying something and getting the wrong memory :(

What does a *right click* do anyway?

^^
So its the same as the keyboard shortcut control + click?
Thanks, I stick with the one button mouse. Every time I've tried to use a 2 button, things get all squirrelly on me. I have big hands and an arthritic thumb and where I hit the mouse seems to be towards the right side

yes its the same but with one button click instead of 2

if that is the case maybe you should ge a more ergonomic mouse like the ones from logitech and microsoft

the buttons on the left under your thumb are for back and fowards in browsers and all your explorer (finder???) windows

i prefer logitech myself but the microsoft ones are not bad

^^
Thanks AJ but the b/f has a logitech wireless and it is too damn uncomfortable for me. Besides for right click I hold the control key and touch the mouse (once). They aren't getting my mouse away from me until they pry it outta my cold dead hands.

I ordered the matching pair RAM sticks at crucial.....I hope to god they work if not.....
