Countdown to Wii

My Wii console number is 3107 1448 4594 2357. Add me if you got one.

My friend got one and I'm so jealous!

She has Zelda, too, and I SO want to play it! Being broke sucks. :grrr:

I got it!!!!! Yey! I mean, Wii!

For such a small lil thang this thing is awesome. Its so much fun and Im not just saying it. Wii Sports is actually good enough for a pack in. And I got so much into the swinging and stuff that it made me sweat. Arms tired? NOT AT ALL.

Ive enjoyed the little Zelda Ive played so far, though yeah it does look rather fuzzy... but I guess for a GC born game its expected. It still looks fine though. Really awesome game.

my only complaint is that I couldnt get to connect it online. I tried with the DS USB Wifi thingy and didnt work. I'll have to try something else later...

Smash my iPod wasnt funny.

Smash my 360 sucked.

Smash my ps3... didnt bother to watch.

Smash my Wii... lame.

I dont know why they bother.

Whats next... smash my Zune?

Oh btw i got the USB wifi thingy to work! I did the first Wii upgrade which pretties up the interface a lil bit and gives it a few more options, though i didnt do the second upgrade cuz Ive been a few error stories... afraid I might brick my Wii... have any of you guys updated the Wii to the lastest?

I did both updates. It went through fine. Heres my wii# 3107 1448 4594 2357. Add me and I'll send you a mii.

Yeah.. I prolly should do the other update too. I'll do so tomorrow.

The thing is that while they dont sell the ethernet cable for the Wii im stuck using the Wifi adapter for my DS. Which works well except that I have a big problem with it messing up the settings of my home network. Not only that but it has to be really close to my Wii to catch the signal. Maybe its cause my internet speed sucks.

I feel like getting a virtual console game tomorrow. Anything good right now?

Ok turns out I was scared for nothing, cuz the system will always ask you if you want to update, even if there are no new updates available. So I already have it updated to the lastest. :) yey!

Anyway today I fooled around with the Wii Shop. The interface is pretty nice, and easy to use. There is a large, scary document to read before gettin inside the shop area... u know the usual disclaimer stuff (nintendo is not responsible for this, nintendo wont pay for that, you are responsible for this bla bla bla)
I didnt buy any VC games yet though. But I will... someday. I saw Sonic 1, FZero, Donkey Kong, Super Mario 64, Zelda 1, Bomberman 93 and some other games available already.

There was a doubt about Sega games using the Gamecube controller but aparently it is now fixed since all Sega games on the VC are compatible with the Classic Controller, GC controller, and Wiimote. Just like Turbogphx and NES games.
Snes and N64 games can only use either the Classic controller or the GC controller, for obvious reasons.

Another interesting thing I found in the shop is that besides the Virtual Console area there is a Wii Ware area, where u can download non-game software for your Wii. There you will get to download the Opera browser when its available... but I wonder what else do they have planned as software for the Wii? Hmm...

wifi will go through walls easily iam on the other side of my house compared to my router so it shouldent be a problem..|

I'm not using a router, will that matter?

Your going to need to get yourself a "Wireless Router" in order to take advantage of the Wii's Wifi system!

The Wireless Router hooks into your modem box and then transmits the signal through the air. Now depending on the router and how many lead filled walls you have along with Radio signals bouncing around your home. It should have no problem connecting to anybody in a standard 1 1/2 storey house. But you need that wireless router first! I suggest a D-Link. Cause that what I have and I've never had a problem with it!

The great feature is if you have a lap top with a wifi built into it....you can use it in any room.! Good luck!

I find them, at this point, a little cost prohibitive. I'm not THAT desirous of online that I want to currently invest.

Perhaps in the new year.

I got my D-link on sale for $29.99 Canadian!

But trust me...once you go Wifi....you wonder why you were wired to the the modem in the first place! :)

I love my wireless connection for my Xbox, PS2 and Laptop! It's great!!
