I have a guy courting me. He is allowed to as long as it doesn't become stalking. I decide the rules, NOT he. He can court as long as agreeeable to SUPERIOR Me. He knows it will never lead to whatsoever.

Dating used to be known as courting, as MANY old people often tell me. I therefore think it's the same. I like dating and being dated but, I don't particularly like being "chased", I like being straightforward but taking things a bit slowly. Unless they're hot ... I would like to be courted, sure. It doesn't necessarily mean you are running away from the person or hate them; it just means someone is trying to get you to like them in a more intimate matter.

The hubby and I "courted" for about four years before we got married in March.

Funny that we started out headed in an entirely different direction and both of us chased at various times. Hardest thing is working on continuing the chasing now that we have each other anytime...that's where the work and magic come in!

But it's not like if you court someone you can't date. The both aren't the same thing and thus doing one doesn't mean you stop doing the other.

It just means you try and impress someone to go for you. Once you do, you may go on dates and the like. They're not mutually exclusive events.

So, while I would find being courted fun, I still like dates, lolz.

If you mean sending flowers, or gifts, or chocolates or what have you, then sure. But if it means playing it coy, or ambiguous, I don't have time for games. If you like me, let me know.
