Current gas price in your area?

$1.89 at a discount pump, self-serve, in Bakersfield, an oil-patch town. California has a bit more in the way of gasoline tax; forget what it is.

Gas was $0.78 cents the other day here in Toronto. Pretty good price to what it was durring the late part of the summer.

In Metro Atlanta, it's still about $1.75 per gallon. I can deal with that much better than the $4 plus it was in September!

I wonder how long it will last?

I dunno. How long do you think this recession is going to last? #-o

It's down to something amazing like $0.92 a litre here in the BC interior in Canada, but I don't drive so it's not really an issue for me.

Even if you don't drive, it affects you. Goods you buy are transported on trucks that use diesel, which affects the price of almost anything you can buy. Petroleum-based fertilizers are used to grow food for people and farm animals. In many places, petroleum products are used for heating or to produce electricity.

Time to resurrect this thread since gas is on the way up again. :grrr: :(

$2.49 here.

$2.55.:cry::cry::cry: Oh, well, it will just get worse :grrr:

seems to go up EVERY day. Can't imagine the stations get gas every day. I think they need to be investigated for price gouging. To answer the question- June 4th $2.59, June 5th $2.65, June 6th $2.69 at a station here in West Hartford, Connecticut :help::cry:](*,)

Right now....it is around $2.88 per gallon for regular in the Los Ageles area.

Last month it was at around $2.36 per gallon

So it has gone up a little over $0.50 per gallon in the last month.

A year ago it was at around $4.42 per gallon

I'm lazy. Got it from an Exxon Mini Mart 3 blocks from the house. Down the road a bit it is cheaper.

Exxon/Mobil is the one gas company that I will not go to. I go out of my way to stay away from those stations.

They have the worst environmental record. They don't invest in developing cleaner technology like the other gas companies.

And when they merged, they actually took away the same sex benefits that the employees were already getting.

All that they care about is maximizing profits.
