Prospects for legislative repeal of DADT appear to be dwindling.
Senator Levin has gone on the record as saying he is open to striking that provision from the defense bill to obtain passage.
At this point, the only way it looks like it is going to pass is if a separate vote is held, however that could force it to be watered down with amendments that would make it very hard to proceed on the repeal.
