A brand new Daft Punk track from their soundtrack for the forthcoming film Tron: Legacy has been posted online.

'Derezzed' forms the soundtrack to a new trailer for the movie, which you can watch below.

The movie, a sequel to the classic 1982 movie Tron, sees Jeff Bridges reprise his original role and features a full soundtrack from the French DJs alongside a track, 'Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)', by Journey.

Tron: Legacy is released on December 17 on 3D, but fans can see a sneak preview this Thursday (October 28) as part of "Tron Night". The Tron: Legacy soundtrack is out December 7

Cinemas around the country are screening a 20-minute preview, and you can get hold of tickets by heading to Disneyscreenings.com and entering the codeword “legacy”.

Re: Daft Punk - Tron & other music

I'm like a little kid waiting on this movie to come out.

But while I'm a fan of Daft Punk, I don't see myself buying the soundtrack. I think its going to work perfectly in the movie, but on it's own I don't think I will enjoy it as much as their other work. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Re: Daft Punk - Tron & other music

It's been five years since Human After All. New studio album please!

Re: Daft Punk - Tron & other music

I'm really excited to see Daft Punk returning to their roots with the new soundtrack. Human After All was really sub-par...

I think the soundtrack will be a good stand alone.

Re: Daft Punk - Tron & other music

I can't believe they even signed onto this shit!

Just make a new studio album already!

Tron is dated, and ridiculous.

Re: Daft Punk - Tron & other music

The French duo recorded with a 100-piece orchestra for the album.

Re: Daft Punk - Tron & other music

This week on the Billboard Top 200:

The second-largest new entry comes from Daft Punk and the duo's score to the new Disney film "TRON: Legacy." The Walt Disney Records album enters at No. 10 with 71,000, marking the highest chart position and sales week for the dance music act. Daft Punk's previous best week came when 2001's "Discovery' started with 34,000 at No. 44. "TRON: Legacy" is also the first score album to reach the top 10 since May 21, 2005, when "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" debuted and peaked at No. 6 (96,000).

Re: Daft Punk - Tron & other music

saw Tron 3D this past weekend. since I had such low expectations enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

Still not a great movie but the soundtrack sounded awesome loud.

Can an Oscar nomination be in their future?

Joe Jonas Calls Out Daft Punk as His Solo Album Role Models

Joe Jonas already has the radio-friendly pop thing dialed, so for his solo album debut, the Disney protégé is set on conquering new territory -- specifically territory where white-hot electronic duo Daft Punk reign supreme. Yes, it seems after getting a taste of the pumping club beats propelling the plot of 'Tron: Legacy,' the young singer is hoping producer Danja can spice up his squeaky-clean Jonas Brothers persona with a dose of electro. "I think for me the biggest influences are Daft Punk," he told MTV News. "I love their music ... I think, for both of us, we are huge fans of the new 'Tron' movie."

Four months after Daft Punk issued their score to Disney's "Tron: Legacy," electronic music heavyweights like M83, Moby and Com Truise will contribute to the remix album "Tron: Legacy R3CONFIGUR3D," which will be released April 5 on Walt Disney Records

Daft Punk: unheard music from 1994 to see release

‘Drive unreleased 1994′ will appear on the 3xCD compilation Soma 20 Years, due out on September 19.

http://www.factmag.com/2011/08/03/daft-punk-unheard-music-from-1994-to-see-release/

This track was confirmed by Daft Punk, but it is only a Demo that never cames out to the sale or was included in any official album. Also, this song must not be confused with the track "Drive (Unreleased 1994)" that will be out in 19th september. Enjoy This Song!!

Haven't really listened to the Tron soundtrack yet, but I fucking love Alive 2007.

AGREED! Alive 2007 is GREATNESS!

I am just waiting till the day they tour again and make a new album. Their shows are so exclusive that hardly anyone but the insiders would get to know about it.

About Tron, I didn't like the movie, but the special effects were insane. The soundtrack on the other hand was amazing. The R3CONFIGUR3D album was INSANE also. I bought the R3CONFIGUR3D album just so I could get the Tron poster of Daft Punk. It's glow n the dark and it is so AWESOME! Here is the poster that I have in my room :)

I really like this cover.

Benoit & Sergio - Around The World

Benoit & Sergio bring the heat with their 'Around The World Cover', a soporific-disco ride that will leave you hooked by its sensuous charms. The spaced out, woozy bassline, low-slung beats and tingling strokes of percussion and pads weave glowing sonic textures around the iconic drowsy robotic vocal, sending shivers down the spine. This is the duo's first foray into Double Standard/ W+L domain but with vibes this seductive; it's unlikely to be their last.
