You're welcome.

Those pesky republicans just can't do anything right. And you want it changed back to EPIC FAIL Bush.

Sorry... I forgot... the Republicans don't hate us anymore because they need us to jump on the Islamophobic band wagon.

They're is the group to hate and fear this election cycle.

Communists, blacks, welfare mothers, feminists, homosexuals, are so passé.

The right’s need for enemies is coded in its political DNA. Without enemies to defeat, vanquish and even destroy, the right would suffer an existential crisis. For Goldwater it was the Communist menace; for Wallace, integrationists and intellectuals; for Nixon, liberals, antiwar activists and black radicals; for Reagan, labor, welfare queens and the Evil Empire; for Gingrich and his cohorts it was gays, feminists, welfare mothers and the Democrats; during the Bush years, it was Islam, immigrants, gays and abortionists; For the Tea Party, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin, it’s all of the above.

Keep them afraid, uneducated and superstitious is the Republican hope. That's the only way they can get elected. Scare the old white people by demonizing groups (immigrants, homosexuals, communists, minorities, Muslims) and they might get back in. I suspect it's backfiring on them now.

That is why homos are being courted these days. Get Mehleman to come out, Hasselbeck to approve gay marriage and even Beck to argue the point against O'Reilly and you might just be able to squeak through with the over 50k gay white household vote.

True. Look at how they traded (at least in their PR) blacks for gays. Now gays for Muslims. And the techniques are so similar.

Frankly they will probably do well with gays, which is a shame.

I don't really see it working, though.

Most of my circle of friends are in that 100K+ gay, white, coupled households and we all see that they've just moved on to a new group to fear and hate.

In the days of the internet, it's not as easy to be this calculated.

He's kind of good-looking. But he looked like he was constipated or something.

I think I figured something out, though: the left tried to make the Kennedys a sort of dynasty, so now every Republican with a son who didn't flunk high school wants one, too.

Ben's biggest problem: he looks and sounds like a kid.

Well and saying stuff like "Barrack Obama is the wort president in History" might play well to a room full of Republicans at a Larry The Cable Guy show and it might get a cheer from the Tea Baggers.

But that kind of crap doesn't play well on the belt way and with people like Ben Quayle, Sharon Engle, Rand Paul and Michelle Bachmann giving us so many choice sound bytes, I think the GOP is their own worst enemy.

you can get a cheer with platitudes like that but you can't run a country with them and I'd hope that most people would know that.
