DantheManFL Appreciation Thread.

Good Thursday morning, Dan! (*8*)

Wow, $11,000 for a new AC and water heater? Yeah, that's expensive, but you need those items. I had to pay $2,000 for a new water heater last August, and this year I've had to spend thousands on dental work. Hopefully your house is cool, and you've got plenty of hot water.

Hey John (*8*)

Yes to both. The new a/c is way better than the last one. I replaced the 3 ton with a 3.5 ton. World of difference. Surprisingly, my bill went from $400 to $300. Yea! :gogirl:

Good Wednesday morning,Dan! (*8*)

I'm not surprised that your electric bill dropped once you replaced your AC with a new one. I noticed that my electric bill dropped slightly a couple of years ago when I replaced an old refrigerator that didn't cool with a new one. Those old inefficient appliances can be energy wasters.

Good Saturday morning, Dan! (*8*)

I hope you're doing well, and that you're staying cool with your new AC with all the heat and storms we're having here in Florida.

Hey John (*8*)

Yep, staying cool. Bill is now $140 less than July's. I'm very happy.

I see you had a lot of rain. Just a medium amount here. Sometimes they just go around us.

Any plans for Labor Day? (!)

Happy Labour Day Dan! (*8*)

Good Sunday morning, Dan! (*8*)

I hope you had a good Labor Day. I really didn't do much except stay home. I also hope you're keeping cool with your new AC.

Good Sunday afternoon, Dan! (*8*)

I've noticed a slight improvement in the weather. Our temps have dropped a little, with highs only in the upper 80s, and our rain and storms have gone away. But I'm sure we'll still have to run our ACs for another couple of months.

Hope all is going well with you.

All good here. Our temp dropped to 69 today. Yeah! First time since early June. I don't like cold either, but I really don't like hot. :dead:

Have a great week Fruit Man. (*8*)

Good Saturday afternoon, Dan! (*8*)

Wow, I didn't know there was a place that was train-themed in Orlando! I think that Brightline photo was probably taken crossing the St. Lucie River in Stuart. That's the only place I can think of along their route that has a waterway that big. I'm also glad to hear that Orlando now has a commuter train. The cars are the same as the ones TriRail in South Florida has, but the decorations are different. And you even have a Hogwarts Express? Is that an actual operating train? That would be something to see.

Hey John. (*8*) Well, actually, I now live about 25 miles NW of Orlando - in Zellwood, above Lake Apopka. (Don't blink or you'll miss it, lol) I wanted to live near my Mom. (She's 96) Yea, I've seen the TriRail in Miami.

They have a nice station at the airport for Brightline. We getting fancy up here. \:/

Good Sunday morning, Dan! (*8*)

I hope you're doing well. Now that you mention it, I seem to remember that Zellwood and the Lake Apopka area used to be a big agricultural area, growing lots of vegetables, but they seem to have ruined the soil by the overuse of pesticides and fertilizers. It's great that you have your Mom around. I lost mine quite a few years ago.
