Another great chapter. The reality of the situation. Their love for each other, but the "parents" to be dealt with.

I wonder about the dog that ran out, unseen. Somehow, that doesn't sound like a good omen.

I think there has been a flurry of activity, and some of the post indicators didn't highlight like they normally do.
With our holiday this past weekend, on I wasn't on much Sunday night - was worn out.

Awesome chapter, JAG. They have consummated their relationship now as each has felt the wonders of sex. Their first being in the dorm and now in Ra's bed. Aah, those were the days... as I remember back a few years. And this is just the beginning for them.

Very nice. Just to cuddle and reflect. Very romantic. I was afraid the "Olds" would catch them and I'm so glad they didn't. I do wonder how Ra's family will react. Somehow I feel they will be more understanding than Dave's.

I'd say Rawiri has grown into one helluva MAN, given the way he went in and confronted the situation head on, without flinching or backing down.

Dad's reaction isn't at all surprising. His apathy towards his wife's culture is too bad, particularly fifty years on in the country. Just common courtesy would have me showing an interest in the native culture and customs.

Dave is obviously having a harder time looking Rawiri's Dad in the eyes - he's feeling a bit left hanging in the wind while Ra and his mom hug.

A very believable continuation of a great saga.

Call me crazy if you want but I'm imagining Ra looking like a young Keanu Reeves (he's of part-Hawaiian descent so similar genes). That's just me though. I'm probably totally wrong. lol

Also, it's great you're putting aspects of our country out there. I'm not Maori myself, and I know little about many Maori customs so this is also educational in many ways for me.

This is really getting good. No, it was good already, but it's getting even better.

Ra's dad is a clod, but I bet he'll come around.

I'm learning tons about Maori culture from this. The only Maori thing I knew before was poi spinning (as in, I took it up).

Can't wait for the next episode!

It's been a "long" week for me, and the last thing I was expecting to do, when I got home, tonight, was reading a story! It was my full intention to log onto JUB, catch up on some threads, and, perhaps, leave a few of my "cryptic" replies that, hopefully, just might, pass as "Humor"!! :lol: :slap:

I did not stumble across this thread, until I had gone through my usual routine, and hit "New Posts". This one seemed "familiar", but didn't quite "ring a bell", until I started reading. It was only then that Ra, and Dave, began sounding "familiar". Of course, I had to go back, and start over, from scratch! :-)

"Only" a couple of hours later ... :wow:!!!

I remember the previous version being quite interesting, but only holding a vague potential of becoming something truly "Wonderful". With this re-write, though, you've attained AWESOME!!! (ww)

Despite my occasional refilling of my brandy, and water, and the accumulated effects thereof, and the subsequent fattening of my fingers, trying to type this reply, I've Learned, and Felt, SO much, through your thoughts, and talent, of translating your insight into Words!! :=D:

Not the response I had expected from Ra's dad, however, I thought he was Maori as well. Knowing now that he is not, I can see his reaction rings true of most disciplinarian fathers. Hopefully, Ra's mum can turn the event into a positive. Also, the creaking open of the lounge door means his siblings have heard the ruckus. I think they will play a large part in the acceptance of Dave and Ra's relationship. Those are just my thoughts........ A great chapter full of tension.

I've grown quite fond of Ra and Dave and i dont like to see them upset like this :cry:, so i hope they work it out soon. I'm sure his mum (or possibly whatever is opening the door) will play a role in smoothing things out though :kiss:

His dad's reaction wasnt what i was expecting though, sadface :(

Still JAG this is a fantastic story and i find myself rechecking for updates all the time! Cant wait to see what happens next!
