So with your statement about using the second amendment to bring about the change you desire. One could only interpret that as support for the man in Norway or Mcvey. Care to explain? Surely you don't mean that shooting our elected leaders is the proper course of action..... whether you elected them or not.

When it was some republican twit saying that about Obama the one side tried to explain it away but it was apparent what they intended when they said it. everyone here railed against that behavior...as they should have.

For the record I dont believe CB actually believes that. I think anger got the best of him. it happens to all of us. I can not imagine caring about the stuff that is discussed in CE&P and NOT be passionate about what you believe is right and wrong.

I wont put words in CB's mouth but it is what I feel.
 
Does anyone have a link tot he video, audio or even a transcript of the Obama press Conference. I would love to read it and understand more. I could not stop what I was doing and listen today. I also cannot find that damn thing anywhere with out some pundits view of what i should actually think........

One does not proceed to the use of force without some preliminary steps. Here, there are several just for starters:
  • organize the Americans you expect to feel this way and recruit more
  • make sure all these people are well-armed
  • institute training in both use of firearms and tactics for your proposed action
  • elect officers
  • inform elected officials you expect to view your efforts favorably and soberly that they should warn those to be removed that they had better shape up or things could get very, very serious

It's not clear what's going on with Boehner. He refused to return the president's phone call earlier today. He said he walked out because the president "moved the goal posts" by demanding a tax increase (even though that has been the president's position since the talks began, of course). Then, Boehner later said it was actually the president who walked out on him.

The president offered (*Gasp*) $650 billion in cuts in Medicare and Medicaid, as well as $1 trillion in cuts in discretionary spending. That's just an extraordinary deal for the Republicans. It has many Democrats fuming that Obama once again gave away the farm.

I think Boehner's not in control of his party. The GOP painted themselves into a corner by signing the Grover Norquist pledge that none of them would raise taxes. Now, they'd rather destroy the nation than have their loyalty to Grover questioned.

It is inexplicable that Boehner would walk with that sort of deal offered.

The only possible explanation is that he is listening to Rush Limbaugh who has been saying that if Boehner caves on the debt ceiling and raises taxes then he hands Obama victory in 2012.

That is suicide for the republican party. I really hope the senior senators and level headed wing of the right wing party actually makes some sense and gets a deal brokered.

The republican party hasnt been in control of the Tea party wing since they formed.

I do like hearing Obama talk the talk and walk the walk. I wish he had done it long long ago... If the Republcans knew they were dealing with someone as stubborn as George Bush they would have never bothered to do the prime time theater.
