You could even tell Bill was getting tired around the 30-minute mark; coughing and stuttering. I'll be fair and say, if she was a good professor, she should at least be able to eloquently speak for at least 75 minutes. I had many professors who knew their shit but had severe trouble relaying that information onto students.

I will say "madam secretary" literally sounds like one of my old economics professors and looks like her too. Kind of creepy.

You know, I'm sure it's because I'm on the left, but this convention has been amazing so far (I haven't enjoyed one this much since 1992) and I'm going to go out on a limb a predict a bump for the president coming out of this. I didn't think there would be much of a bump for either side because I didn't really think the general public much cares about the conventions this time around, but everybody I've talked to has been talking about it and were planning to watch (at the very least) Clinton speak tonight.

Forget the hug, Obama should have dropped to his KNEES in front of Bill at the end of that speech!
(I know I would have but, who am I kidding....I would have anyway)

Slayed my mom, too -- he wasn't even done when she decided she's going to go drop her registration as a Republican... prolly go independent.

When Clinton mentioned Eisenhower, she commented that Obama seems like an Eisenhower Republican.

As someone who went to a magnet school and earned a college scholarship, I can tell you that you are full of shit. Magnet schools are not "elite" or full of "privileged kids". As for scholarships, they are earned based on academic/athletic merit and/or financial hardship. If you're rich or privileged, you'd have no need for a scholarship.

BTW- Your ass must hurt from all the bullshit you keep pulling out of it. You have a rich white guy born into privilege running against a bi-racial guy raised by a poor single mom, and you have the stupidity to call the latter "an elite" and "privileged".

And Billy Boy is an AMAZING politician and actually had the authority to combat the ridiculous claims the Repubs claim about welfare, start to set the record straight about Obamacare/ medicare, and talk about obstructionism in a way that didn't come across as divisive. And, bring on the feared fact-checkers...

Having Obama show up and appear with Bill was necessary and likely an effective stunt. It did two things: one, it gave the middle finger to republicans who keep insisting that these two guys hate each other and are only acting in the party's interest. Two, it makes us ask "why didn't GWB and Mitt ever hug?"

Since I just had to explain to my roomie why some states are not using all their votes, I might as well explain. If a delegate from a state is not present, they cannot cast their vote.
