Desperate Housewives Fans?

Andrew said he's "doing" the beer delivery guy at the restaurant.

Felicity Huffman was NOT funny at all last seasn. She had alot of dramatic stuff but little to no comedy so how the heck did she get a best actress nomination.

People are gonna say its called, "Best Actress in a Comedy series" so if she did the dramatic stuff well and DH is classified as a comedy then the nomination is justified but comedy is suppsed to make me laugh not cry or get goosebumps.

Eva had loads of laughs last season and she is yet to get a nomination.

The suitcase? LOL

Eva should have gotten a nomination the first season for that lawnmower scene alone LOL.

Aw I loved Season 3. It was all over the place!
I'm looking forward to Season 4 :)

And yes, this show is still GOOD.

Now that Susan got the man she wanted, I'm not sure what's gonna happen with her now. She actually looks happy now. It's cute to see her like that. :) Now let's see how she'll put herself into more drama.

Gabrielle... I'm not sure why she didn't end the thing with Victor right away but aparently she and Carlos are getting back together. Can they rebuild their lives together?

Eddie... well I don't think she will die. Prolly some lame excuse will save her. OR, maybe she will. I mean, thats how they solve all storylines in DH anyway, killing people off.

Bree's absense for the last half was weird, though it was cool that she was back for the last ep. I'd like to see Andrew get a nice boyfriend now that he's being a good boy. And about Danielle's baby... well I dunno how that will go. Though if that means we will see Austin again then so be it ;)

Lynette fell into lots of shit this season. Losing her job, almost getting shot, dealing with her pedophile neighbor, dealing with Kayla and Nora, dealing with her husband's insecurity and his lil business, dealing with temptation (Rick = rawr) and dealing with cancer. :( Felicity's acting was superb. I don't even know what more to expect from her.

I like how they blatantly made the characters spend more time together this time around. Hopefully they keep doing so.

I watched the first two eps tonight for the first time in years. For some reason I was just compelled to revisit. As far as I knew, I've never diligently watched any full ep of DH, yet I kind of remembered most of the main happenings in broad strokes as they came on.

I know the show gets better, but one thing I'll say is that it's shocking how cartoonish all the characters' situations begin as (except maybe Susan, who's a little more neutral and not such a neat mold like the other three). This was praised to the high heavens when it came out in '04... like don't get me wrong it starts off even quite decent, but it's interesting what's seen as nuanced or modern writing at different points lol.

I use to watch this show when it was on tv thought it was a good series

OK I was a little critical of ep 1, but I'm like 6 eps in now and the show already hit its stride. The characters move on from being rough stereotypes pretty quickly. You can really tell this was part of the talked-about golden age of television.

Despite this being centred mostly around women, you can tell the casting directors of this show really loved men as well :luv2: or at least aimed for a sizeable gay fanbase :).

Whoa! Eighteen years between comments on this thread. Is that a record?

Just finished season 1, wowza. I mean, I already knew a lot of what happened from back in the day but it was still great to refresh and revisit. The show holds up so well, Jeez.

Hard to say which actress I was most impressed with in the first season. I leaned slightly towards Felicity Huffman. She had this way of making you 'forgive' some of Lynette's silly insecure decisions by going into this 'vulnerable' mode with the character's voice and eyes etc. Although there also wasn't quite as much comedy from her character as the other three (some, but not as much). Favourite comic performance definitely Eva Longoria.

But the dudes though. God, Jesse Metcalfe's face and skin/tan was sheer perfection . And right at the end of the season enter Mehcad Brooks... Can't count out Mike though, and Andrew would also be a total type for that sort of college age-group. Who else? Oh yeah, pretty blond Justin, whose actor I understand performed a couple of other gay roles too.

This show was an all-round gem lol.
