Desperate Housewives Fans?

Tonight was ok but the ending was awesome something out of a fairytale and i loved it.

I see nothing wrong with Victor getting some thugs to beat up the cop. The cop was out of line for calling Gabby a "bitch" seriously? you can't do that. Ordinarily the man would do the beating up to defend the womans honor but he is Mayor so the cop would sue or it would mess up his image.

Didn't like Eddie using her son to keep Carlos. I really can't read her. She has some really good believable scenes but then she shows another side and throws me off.

Felt it for Lynette i understand what she was saying. Not sure if the locked in freezer thing was believable.

Out of all the episodes Marcia Cross has been absent from, I actually enjoyed this one a good deal. It was by no means great, but not horribly bad like what we've been getting.

I'm worried about the season finale though. We have no mystery and an 'everyone getting married at the same time storyline' is just as cliched and unbelievable as 'everyone having babies and twins at the same time' on 7th Heaven.

Um hello? It was ok for the mayor to send thugs? Why not just get the guy fired. What, is the mayor part of the mafia.

The cop was out of line? This was the first episode where I really hated Gabby. She went way beyond and deserved everything she got.

I think we're going to find out the Mayor has some issues and maybe a very dark side. What he did was the kind of thing you'd expect to see in a movie about the mob. His tone of voice was so harsh with Gabby that I'm afraid we may have a domestic violence storyline next season.

Those same thugs robbed Lynette, mugged that old lady, and stabbed that store owner in the beginning.

That fucking bird looking piece of shit I knew he was trouble

It just sucked to see suddenly Gabriel doing that I-M-The-Queen thing on the street, and I actually did like the Mayor. Not after seeing that plot in the picture. Why can't they just give them a happy and sweet ending.

Anyway, isn't kinda silly that Mike can just find Susan so easily? Hmmm.. But you know, I was clapping for them, no matter how tired I was for the whole on-off-on thing.

Stopped watching the show a while back 'cas it just got stale and unbelievable. I saw this week's episodes and just found it ridiculous.

IMHO it has to keep some semblance of reality otherwise it just becomes a meaningless dream drama where anything goes so you don't care whether things turn out one way or the other. For example, Gabby thinking she could get away with things because of her connections could have been funny if it hadn't been written so over the top. Tearing up your own parking ticket and abusing the overbearing parking guy is one thing, but you'd have to be a complete idiot to think you could get away with destroying tickets from other cars.

IYou have to have more than cutesy pie characters and implausible plot lines. My sense is that the show's long since jumped the shark and I hope it won't be around much longer.

It's been renewed by ABC through 2010. It's a comic soap opera. If you're looking for reality try The Discovery Channel.

Lmao, really. The whole mystery of the first season is based around a crackhead who gave her baby away to a nurse in a hospital, who then moved across the country to the suburbs and changed her name and the name of the baby so that she wouldn't be found, then was blackmailed by her neighbor so she killed herself.

This is not the show to watch if you're expecting reality.

According to Daily Variety, it's renewed through the 2007/8 season.

My point was about soap operas and soap opera plots being funnier and/or stronger if they play off reality, not that one looks for reality in them.

But, at least you spotted that the show is a comic soap opera. Good one, Sherlock.

No, honey. After season one, the show was contracted for 6 more seasons.

I stopped watching in the MIDDLE of an episode two weeks ago. That show has gotten too ridiculous. All the characters have become cartoon versions of the people they were in season one.

I only wish that they did nto show Gabriel being so nasty queen in this episode. A bit ridiculous behaviour. Hm.

Yes we know. You've beaten it into our heads like a jackhammer.

A six season commitment? No biggy either way, but what's your source or are you just having a little punk?

As I mentioned, DH was one of the shows renewed by ABC in March, 2007 for the 2007/8 season and that doesn't tie in what you're saying:

The show's currently haemorrhaging viewers:

If you're still watching it regularly, I hope it gets better for you.

I realize this is rediculous to argue about...but... the story was reported in Entertainment Weekly magazine and on their website. The show is up against The Sopranos right now, so the ratings are down. This happens every year. And it doesn't have to get better for me. I'm quite enjoying it now, except for missing Marcia Cross.
