Mike said he was in prison, Dave said a guy killed his brother in prison and got off for self defense. Unless Marc Cherry is tricking us to believe it's mike. Orson was also in prison.
 
I LOVE LILY TOMLIN!!! Even before I knew she was a lesbian, I have always loved her.

I think we would know if Mike or Orson killed someone in prison by now. This is definitely intriguing. Mrs. McLuskey's character is just awesome.

When we saw the condom I was thinking it was Tom who was having the affair, then when he looked at it again when Lynette left, I knew it was Porter. I wonder how this is going to come out...

The best scene so far this season is when Susan walked in on that woman showering. I could not stop laughing. Awesome.

so are we thinking Dave is the brother of the cop Mike killed in self-defense, or are we to believe he killed ANOTHER guy in self defense while serving his time? i swear to God if James Denton wasn't so fucking HOT....well there's nothing else on on Sundays, so i'd probably still watch.

when i 1st saw that condom i actually yelled at the tv(yeah i hate folks who do that too) "YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!!!!" glad it wasn't Tom's, but the Porter thing is kinda creepy.

In good times and bad I've always been a DH booster, but it pretty sad to me that Mrs. McClusky has the only interesting storyline.
 
The actor who played Peter Hickey last night is the same actor who plays the dad on Kyle XY. He was also on Bones last month. (I'm doing this without imbd)

Why is Lynette so insecure?

i think he was the original Dr. Kinder(?) on All My Children. and he played Valerie Malone's potential stepdad on the original 90210. don't blame her for jumping in the sack with him.


they touched on Lynette's troubled childhood a couple seasons back. i think that has alot to do with her being so neurotic and insecure. plus it's not like Tom's never given her a reason to doubt him. i know the whole Kayla thing occured before they met, but he still kept it from her when he found out he had a daughter.

As for Lynette I can understand her being insecure. Her midlife crisis theory is true for a lot of Tom's behavior.

I think the actor who plays Tom used to be hot in the first few seasons. Not so much anymore. He's not unattractive but I think all the men on the show have aged pretty poorly. The women seem to be looking better minus Gabby. But still Tom is a much more attractive guy than Lynette is an attractive woman.. This issue was touched on before but then left alone for some reason. I've often wondered what that is like IRL when you see a couple where the guy is really hot and the girl is just average.

personally i think Mike's only gotten hotter!!! Carlos and Tom...not so much, but they're still most definately dilfs. as for Lynette, i think she's looking GREAT!!! i was actually wondering if maybe she'd had something done...not that she needed it.

None of the guys are NOT unattractive by any means. But they are very wrinkled and old looking. Some people look younger than their age. These guys mostly look their age. I just dont think they've aged well. Tom is also starting to put on weight. I agree Mike looks good but when you see him in HDTV you can see every wrinkle. And when he is next to Gale Harold he looks even older.

And Lynette is not an ugly woman but she is not nearly as pretty as the other women. And she's still wearing crazy wigs. Didnt she go in remission years ago wtf is with those wigs that look like straw?

wrinkles, weight gain....crazy how getting older can do that sometimes, huh? i mean who'd have thought? with what they've put up with from those bad-ass kids over the years, it's a wonder Tom and Lynette are functioning at all. i think they've held themselves together pretty well.
 
I think the Gabby/Carlos story is boring and stupid. Now with the older lady having this "thing" for Carlos' talents I don't don't know what to make of it. I liked it when Gabby was a spoiled girl...and thin. I want Carlos to fall or something and get his eyesight back. The blindness is one reason that I think that he could still be the connection to the Dave storyline since he can not see him and recognize him....probably wrong.

The Scavos are a funny bunch, and having Porter in an affair with the friend's mom is great stuff....magnum condoms and all. (Tom is secretly very proud.) I loved it a couple of seasons back when Tom put on that black thong for Lynette.

The gay couple and Bree's son are greatly underused. I know they are not exactly one of the 'Desparate Housewives", but they could be great in a tangled storyline. Listen up writers!

Mike is the hottest thing on the show and I think Susan is beautiful and entertaining. I want Mike to take his shirt off more. Gale Harrold is finally starting to "look" straight after being such a great gay icon.

Look there is nothing wrong with getting older. I just think they have physically aged a lot in a short time. The women all pretty much look the same but some of the guys look 10 years older than when the show first started. These guys just didnt age well imo.
 
I'm going to backtrack here, and ask a stupid question. I thought last season started out badly and stopped watching after the first episode. Then I got hooked again when I watched the season finale (5 year jump got me!). so....how did Carlos go blind? Was it done in such a way that the writers could conceivably give him his sight back?

This season is thankfully moving storylines along at a quick pace. I think it was mentioned first season that Mike also murdered someone while IN prison. If it was Orson who did it during his stint in prison, that might be more of a twist.

well...techically the show has spanned 10 years. i'm wondering in Carlos' case if they intended for him to look as aged as he looking lately.

Another glorious episode.

I am glad the creepy Gabby/Carlos/'grandma' storyline is getting out of the way.

The Scavo storyline just got extremely intense. I must have said 'oh my god' more times this episode than any episode in a long while. When we found out she was pregnant my jaw dropped. Where did Porter get all that money? Is he leaving with her? Lynette seemed a bit too naive in that last scene, I am curious as to how this will play out.

Again, I love Lily Tomlin. I think that psychiatrist is going to be the next murder victim on Wysteria lane... I cannot wait until we get more details.

This was the best character building episode for Susan, just an absolutely adorable moment between her and Gale's character after she saw the painting.

Katherine/Mike: I do not see why Susan would have a big problem with it... but maybe this is an incomprehensible female thing. Will Katherine now be caught up in Dave's plans?
