Desperate Housewives - The Return

This Lynette/Kayla storyline is annoying me for several reasons. One is that Tom is being a bitch. I understand that this is your daughter, but why would your wife make up this stuff. Hopefully he will come to reason when Lynette is arrested.

But it seemed all was forgiven by the beginning of S3.

Susan, Mike and Mama
I thought Mike's mama was a little over the top, but I have met women who act kinda like that. Every time she said 'Me-Ma' I laughed. I've never heard that term before. I didn't realize it until the end that the actress who plays her was the blonde waitress on 'Alice' way back when. I liked the storyline, and I'm happy Susan finally had that baby.

Gaby, Carlos and Ellie
This is the first Gaby storyline that I'm really into. I think because Ellie is a fresh new character and the show hasn't dealt with hard drugs before. Even though what Ellie is doing is wrong, I hope she gets away with it somehow. I want her to stay.
Carlos is hilarious. "What? I can't see! Who is it!?" <- That cracked me up.

Lynette and Kayla
I hate that little bitch from hell. She deserved to get slapped. She threatened Penny! A little girl. What kind of person does that? A psycho. So I hope the men in white come for her soon. I hope they don't kill her off, because they could possibly bring her back in the future when she's more mature. And even more psycho.

Katherine, Dylan and Wayne
So I guess its official. Wayne is not Dylan's father, and Dylan is not the same Dylan who lived on Wisteria Lane 12 years ago. What happened to the real Dylan? Where did this fake Dylan come from? This mystery is weird. And Katherine scares me. Was she telling the truth when she was telling Wayne about her affairs? Or was she just trying to get a rise out of him?

Bree, Orson and Edie
I was surprised that Bree told Gaby, Susan and Lynette the truth about Benjamin. There wasn't as much fallout as I expected, but it worked well the way it happened.
Ok, I know Edie deserved all that, but I couldn't help but feel sorry for her. I've always had a soft spot for her because she is the outsider who doesn't really fit in. But after burning down Susan's house, stealing Mike when he came out of the coma, getting Carlos evicted, faking a suicide attempt to trap Carlos, telling Victor about Carlos and Gaby, stealing the paper that would have given them millions, kissing Orson and blackmailing Bree, she deserved it.
So is Edie gone for good? Or was she just packing an overnight bag? Part of me wants her to stay, but because she hasn't been given much to do, I think it is time for her to go.


I don't know if I'll be able to watch the two hour finale next week because I'm going to be in Paris. But I can wait. :)

off topic but were you referring to the "Kiss my grits!!!" waitress on Alice? i can't really picture what the waitress looked like..or her name, but i did think Mike's mom looked familiar.

This is a really weird mystery, even more weird then the Woodards. Im almost over the mysteries. I love it when it's just great storylines for each wife. But I do really like Katherine. I hope they keep her around.

I remember always having the mystery figured out by now but this one is just weird... by the way, what was Season 3's mystery?

Season 3's mystery was about the wherabouts of Orson's wife Alma, and who killed his mistress Monique Polier.

I'm thinking something along those lines as well surge with the minor tweak being that the man that Katherine killed was probably the Dylan we have now's real father.

My only problem with it is I really like Katherine Mayfair and unless there was some extreme circumstance/accident like with Mary Alice and Zach (which by the way this storyline would be mirroring way too much) I can't see the character being redeemable and I want her to stick around. Her and the mystery have completely revamped the series.
 
She's contracted to appear in the show for several more years.

However, it's common knowledge that next season (or the one after that) Cherry intends to "advance" the storyline by 5 years, so she could go to prison and be out when the story picks up again.

No that was Flo. This was the blonde bimbo waitress that came in towards the end of the show. I forget her name though.

Yeah I read about the 5 year jump too. I can't tell if its just for some flash-forwards in the finale, or for the entire next season, and the rest of the seasons after that.

I hope its a permanent jump. There's so much they could do with each character.
And I hope Katherine stays.

I have a feeling Orson will serve time in prison (probably around 5 years...) and come back next season. And I think Edie will be back too.

Ooooh I can't wait. :D

Exactly. A lot of people aren't liking the flash forward but I think it'd really revive the show. Imagine all the new secrets.
 
Ohhh I just saw this thread now.

First off, Doug Savant is the BIGGEST HOTTIE on television today. He is the #1 celebrity I want right now.

Tom's daughter is a little bitch and even though I don't believe in hitting your kids she needed a good slap across the face. Then again, so did that southern "mama."

I hope Eddie sticks around, she's fun. But after just hearing about this 5 year jump, that makes alot of sense. She'll be back later with a whole new slew of problems.

I love the Katherine story and I'm pretty sure she killed her own daughter. Something serious is going on there.

Gabby and Carlos are as comical as ever and I think they're a great team. I believe Carlos's sight will come back in time.

Bree and Orsan are interesting too, not much to say about them though.

Needs more Tom in speedo.

OH and that cop was fucking hot Surge, you're right. I still remember his outfit, looked good in green and brown.

Katherine's story was pretty much what was expected, but it still played out great.

I had no idea that the 5 year thing was going to take place right away.

I always thought Tom and Lynette's kids would turn out to be juvinile delinquents.

Gabby with two kids. What a hoot.

And who is the new husband?

Can't wait for the next season.

I didn't watch the American version of QAF, but I've heard of him.

Leave it to Marc Cherry to think of that.
 
Good finale overall.

How sad Gaby has turned out. SO concerned with beauty now she's all frumpy with 2 chubby daughters.

I like that Shawn Pyfrom is still Andrew and he's working with Bree. I bet Andrew will be dating Bob or Lee since I'm sure those 2 won't last. Hopefully it's the hotter one.

I bet Tom's daugther will be back to stir up drama now that she'll be a teenager.

I'm kinda disappointed that Susan left the baby's name Maynard. hopefully she ended up changing it. I never thought her and Mike would last but I was honestly surprised she was with someone else.
 
I am still processing this.....Gale Harold situation. I love anything related to QAF. What a monkey wrench...
