Part One: The Gun Song
Susan, Mike and Maynard
How long do mothers who just gave birth stay in the hospital? Maybe I'm wrong but Susan seemed to be there way too long.

Anyway, this storyline seemed kind of dull compared to the others. But it was still kind of funny, mainly because of Susan.
Lynette, Tom and Kayla
I felt so bad when Lynette realized that ALL her kids could be taken away. (I doubt that would happen in the real world, but who knows?)
I'm glad the Lynette Vs. Kayla storyline ended without one of them dying. That would have been ridiculous and over the top. I loved how Tom finally saw it Lynette's way and the way he got Kayla's confession was good. I bet a teenaged Kayla will be back in the future though.
Bree and Orson
That reverend was creepy. For a while I was thinking they were introducing part of the mystery for next season (a murderous priest or something), but he was just a ploy to get Bree to see that Orson really cares about her.
But this storyline seemed boring to me, because we all know Bree and Orson will reconcile. Was there ever any doubt? But it was entertaining anyway.
Katherine, Wayne and Dylan
Its hard to imagine how this mystery would have played out if the season had a regular 23 episodes. There really isn't much to it.
There weren't many surprises in this episode, because I saw almost everything coming a mile away. For example, I knew Wayne would go after Adam as soon as he came back into the picture.
But I loved Bree and Katherine talking about catering while at the gun range. That was typical DH.
Gaby, Carlos and Ellie
I love this storyline. Even though there isn't really much evidence that Gaby and Ellie are close friends, I buy it. This was the best storyline of the episode. The gross cop getting slapped, the scene were Carlos confronts Gaby was hilarious, and when Ellie told Gaby about how her father and her tough life, I couldn't help but feel bad for her. I loved when Gaby told her to get out of the house so she won't get arrested.
All in all, this episode isn't very good as a stand-alone. But as part one to the finale, it works well.
I'll post what I think of part two,
Free, soon. I'm still processing it all.
