^^^ - Yeah I thought he was kicked off the force, or at least suspended...and busted by LaGuerta too. So Liddy would really walk into the lion's den with Quinn's desk right next to her office. Bullshit. Here's hoping that Dexter kills him in the final episode.

Good question.

The men in the photo are:

1) Jordan Chase (his real name is Eugene Greer)
2) Cole Harmon (Chase's head of security, killed)
3) Dan Mendell (kids dentist, killed)
4) Boyd Fowler (guy who picked up dead animals in the highway, killed)
5) Alex Tilden (banker, killed in episode 10)

Emily Birch is the woman Lumen talked to, and she told everything. She's the first woman who was raped and tortured by the group. But then later in the episode she was talking with Jordan Chase. Chase told her "you made me what I am today". What did that mean? She appears to have feelings for him.

We all know Chase will eventually be killed by either Dexter or someone else. Liddy the detective will be killed somehow too because he has too much on Dexter and Lumen.

Does anyone know if the show has been renewed for another season, or is this the final season?

Last Sundays episode was great. The van scene where Dexter killed Liddy was exciting, especially watching the blood drop onto Quinn's shoe. However, Dexter broke the code in killing Liddy ...... Liddy may have been a rough asshole, but he wasn't a murderer.

When Emily phoned Lumen I knew exactly what would happen.... Lumen would go over there alone and be captured by Jordan Chase. That was disappointing and predictable. Also, you think Jordan Chase would have just killed Lumen right away instead of the dramatic kidnapping.

How are the Dexter and Lumen photos Quinn has in his nightstand going to be explained?

After watching the season finale previews during the credits I can't figure out how Dexter will get out of this one. Next Sunday can't come fast enough.

I thought about this too but Liddy did come at him with a knife, and this isn't the first time Dexter has killed in self defense.

This season has been amazing so far.

Can't wait for the finale!

I think Deb is going to find out for sure. The episode is entitled, "The Big One."

In the preview of the season finale during last week's credits it hints that she sees it, but I don't know if it really happens.

If she does, of course Deb will stick with her brother, even tho she's a good cop.

I don't know how those photos Liddy gave Quinn will be explained.

Since the series has been extended to another season, will Deb become a vigilante like her brother?

Okay, tomorrow night is the season finale. I'm all psyched up for it. The only bad thing about it is we'll have to wait another 10 months to see new episodes.

I hope to God they don't leave us with a cliffhanger!

Lumen had to leave and Dexter couldn't be with her. Seems like that was his one chance to be with someone who understood him. They really left it open for any direction it could go next season.

I was disappointed by the finale; they could have handled it much better. Lumen all of a sudden announced she had to leave, then you didn't see her again. They made too big of a deal about Harrison's birthday party instead of properly tying up loose ends. Altho Jordan Chase's killing was supposed to be a big deal during the season, it was handled so quickly and wasn't dealt with much more after it happened.

The only thing left open was Quinn thanking Dexter for reporting the blood on his shoe didn't match Liddy's blood, so Quinn knows Dexter covered for him. That's something that may come back next season.

There weren't any suggestions as to what might happen next season, but I'm glad it wasn't a cliff hanger that would have made us wait for 10 months for something to happen.

Bring on season 6.

^ I agree. I was expecting more drama and a bigger mess about Chase's death. Seemed more like they were worried about Dexter not getting caught by Deb and the others instead, also there was the birthday like you said. I didn't like Lumen's departure or how they even went about doing it.

But I guess the good thing is that it was left open-ended. So anything is bound to happen now. It's better than True Blood's cliffhangers at the end of season...that grinds my gears so badly.

I just finished the fifth season and, as always, i'm left craving more.

Anyway, I thought this was a pretty strong season. It was definitely better than the third. Though, the finale was a bit... underwhelming.

I was expecting Lumen's character to leave. I mean, she kind of had to. We know that Julia Stiles wasn't going to be staying for another season, so she either had to leave or die. And killing her was not a good option because of how last season's finale played out. Overall, I did like the character and thought that her storyline was intriguing. I hope she makes some scattered appearances in the future.


Anyone else wonder about the red car Dexter stole? After that wreck there is no way his blood and hair isn't in there, so I find it a bit odd that the police didn't find anything..


Another thing I was wondering about is that they said there were five DNA samples on the "barrel girls". Well, Chase never participated in the rapes physically. So who was the fifth person? I think the writers got a little slack with some details this season and I hope they tighten up next year.


The thing that I probably liked the most about the finale was the look on Dexter's face as he blew out the candle's on Harrison's birthday cake at the very end. Hello Dark Passenger.

Here in the UK as you can imagine we get loads of American tv series
for the most part sorry guys but they are shit .
Though every once in a while you guys come up with a total gem and Dexter is one of the best along with another few heartstoppers .
One thing has to be said that when you guys barnstorm the result is usually
tottaly amazing . From someone who really appreciates a great series fantastic .
