Okay, that was mean, but he and Bush did sit on their hands and practically allow 9/11 to happen. You don't get credit for "keeping America safe" when you ignored intelligence that could have prevented or minimized the impact of 9/11.

The only reason Cheney is making any headway here is because Obama doesn't really intend on significantly altering Bush administration policies from the look of it. Cheney isn't kicking anyone's ass. He's just rubbing our faces in the fact that as hard as we tried to vote for change, the system he manipulated during his time in office made sure it didn't happen. It's the kind of man Cheney is. He hates the real America with a passion. He hates Democracy and the Constitution.

If the election had achieved the results we voted for, Cheney would be making his pathetic little speeches from behind bars.

I think other people who aren't part of the reason Gitmo is there in the first place and is the problem that it is have said that better than Cheney has. He made this monster and now the only thing he should have to say about it is "I'm sorry. I fucked up. I was wrong". Instead, he's criticizing people for trying to clean up the mess he made. Fuck him. When you do shit like this, it's not going to be an easy thing to fix in an honorable way. The truth is that he isn't sorry at all because he's an evil man.
