  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Did you ever tell your mom you're Gay?

I told my mom,but for some reason I don't think she believe's it :/

told her when i was 14. she had already asked me a bunch of times and told me she would love me even if i said yes before then.

i did. when i told her, she told me not to bring any guys home while i lived at home for sake of my brothers.

i told her once when i was like 9 and then again when i was 16.

Twice. The first time she only said "I love you" and went away, but, after a couple years, I've started thinking she's forgotten about it, and it seems she really did, because I had to "come out" to her for the second time, this time followed by a longer talk.

I told her in 8th grade and she didn't believe me. Told her again when I was a Freshmen in college and she cried. My dad suggested that it might be best if I moved out of the house.

They both came to terms with it. I did a panel at a conference with my mom once. She's a pretty amazing person.

Yes. She invites us over as a couple and the whole nine yards.

>>>Oh Oh. what was that mean?

It means you told her without telling her.

Ugh, That almost sounds like something i'm gonna have to do.#-o

Told her and she told my dad. They were cool with it, not happy at first. Things have been much better. Been with my partner nearly 10 years and mom treats him like son (in law). The best she can!?

Yep she came to our Civil Partnership (dad died 25 years ago) she calls my "husband" for want of a better word her son in law and holidays with us twice a year ps told her when i was 16 never batted an eyelid...|

Yes, that cunt didn't want to believe it and doesn't want me to be gay.

Both my step-mother and dad confronted me when I was moving out. I said yes. They were angry, so I left. We talked about it a few days later, and things have been okay, it is just never discussed.

My real mother I would never tell. She is a super-catholic............

She has sued my father numerous times for custody of me and my siblings, (now there are only two underage kids left). She has sued him for supposidly sexually abusing us (which has never happend) and has stated in court that he is gay and shouldn't have kids (which is also not true.)

:/

Eh, I don't much care for her.

My mum outed me :D "Is your friend...more than a friend?!" "EERRRRRRRMMMMM......*small voice* yes" "I see, well then, i had best get him round fo a bbq, i want to meet him."

Needless to say, she met him that night, we all got drunk and laughed our heads off all night long. Was pretty awesome actually.

Now my partner is her 4th son, apparently >.> and she loves him as one of her own =)

I love my mum D=

haha awe that's so awesome!(*8*)

My mother's confronted me about it a few times. I've used jokes to acknowledge that i'm gay during casual conversation. If she ever mentions me being in a relationship, it's always in gender-neutral terms. If she ever says "girlfriend", she quickly changes it to ". . .or your partner, or whoever". :p
