Do I have a problem ?

We gave a ton of books for Christmas this year...over 50 to the family and friends...with only a few duplicates...for the most part, they were books they wanted to read or were excited to discover.

It has been an interesting and fun process of selecting them over the year...however sadly, I think our time for buying for the great nephews is at an end except for letting them choose their own...which will be just as exciting for them at least.

I'm struggling to get through Red, White & Royal Blue finally. It's a slow go. My hands shake so much now that I'm only able to read 2 or 3 pages at a time before I have to stop. I'm enjoying it, though. I believe it's the first book written in the present tense that I've ever read.

And I gave myself 4 😂

On my way back from my most recent study abroad program, I got yelled at by so many airline employees for my overweight bags. They all became much more sympathetic when I told them that I have a nasty book-buying habit.

The question is: are you so full of shit because of what you read, or you read all that shit because you are already so full of shit

What has that got to do with overweight, are there not scanners and digitized books?
And the crap Al says he reads can even be dowlonaded for free... and, thereby, help sapping their production.

Americans and their overweight issues

It is never that one reads, but what one reads... even if one does read utter crap, it is not about the crap as much as about what one makes of it...

Get the original MK spirit possess you... get to know real happiness, fly beyond mere book whoring.

If one book is just as treasurable as the other, you treasure none.

It’s the same as cats. If you have to ask the question you’ll never understand the answer.

I think your reading choices are utter shit just like your musical choices.

It may be that it is your understanding of my reading what is utter shit: I choose to read everything... even shitty Koontz (how would I otherwise know what I am talking about, and what sells millions by attracting the great unwashed's attention?).

But I then I also further choose to study understand what makes some people say that something is utter shit, or what is a classic, or what sense make their attempts at "canon", "Western Canon", "must read" and "best" and "top 100/whatever" lists... and then I set apart my own canon and must READ, not just "scan with the eyes" and "burden with personal experiences like one burdens with shitty, heavy padlocks a supposedly romantic bridge"....

As for music... very much the same, although some may use "music" to refer to mere "muzak" or manageable, comforting, undemanding or pretentiously demanding tunes and scores.

Unless you mean by my "musical choices" the earworms that the aggresive world out there strives to force into me... because my true "musical choice", as I have said sometime before, is properly reduced to the work of these great rotten dead (in body, just ike Keith Rolling Stone) white male:
