do straight guys check out this site?

All right, I’m going to speak up here.

Number one, you guys are right. Rarely is a straight guy going to actively look for forums like these. Unless we’re curious, we’re not going to actively go out and search for gay porn; let alone try to strike up some conversation with a bunch oversexed homosexuals. And on the surface, that’s exactly what this site looks like: a site dedicated to the proliferation and sharing of gay porn between really horny gay guys.

However…

I did find this site by accident while, admittedly, doing a casual porn search on Google. On the second page, a listing by the name of “Straight pornmovie....but with a 'wtf fuck kinda gay' moment” showed up. So I simply said, “okay, this I gotta check out…”

So I click in and see that it’s a thread. A lot of it turned out to be nonsense. I clicked one level out and noticed that it was the “Straight and Bi Dudes” sub-forum of a gay website. I’ll admit that I was curious as to what was being discussed, though I instantly thought I wasn’t going to find anything beyond people sharing links to pornography.

Boy was I wrong.

I browsed through, noting several threads that had actual discussions that went beyond simply throwing porn around. People begging for advice on some serious issues; hot topics regarding the nature of sexuality and how it’s cultivated; figuring out what makes the mind tick. Basically, these were interesting discussions that don’t require the readers to be “gay” or “bisexual” in order to be engaged in them. And frankly, reading around and offering my own council on these discussions are the only reasons why I still poke my head in every once in a while. Yes, I see a lot of the content revolves around gay porn, and many of the members have naked and explicit pictures of themselves or their idols – but please, it’s not the first time I’ve seen a penis. It doesn’t frighten me. Though, for the record, I don’t browse any of the other forums on this site. Just this one.

Anyway, the fact of the matter is that there are discussions that can happen regardless of the participants’ sexual preferences. We’re all people, for god’s sake. We live different lifestyles, but we all live with the same [or at least similarly analogous] issues. And if I can find this place by accident, but stick around to chat with the boys, then statistically, there are more open minded straight guys who have done the same.

There is a major pattern that I’m noticing, though. Yes, this is a “gay” website. A gay website geared towards sex. However, even on this gay website, there’s a tiny corner that supposedly welcomes guys who swing both ways, or who proclaim themselves as straight altogether. Yet when the latter shows up, his claim to being straight comes into question.

“How can a straight guy find himself on a gay forum? He can’t possibly really be straight.” “Dude, you’re just kidding yourself. Man up and just admit you love the cock already! If you’re man enough, I’ll show you personally…”

Frankly, it’s the annoying comments like these that keep most of the legitimate straight guys who curiously lurk around from actually participating in any kind of discussion, or wanting to ask questions. On a site called “Just Us Boys”, in a sub-forum dedicated to “Straight and Bi Dudes”, they’re not even given the benefit of the doubt and feel that they’re unwelcomed because they haven’t supposedly come to grips with their inner closeted demons. And really now, that’s not very fair, is it?

These are biased, preconceived notions – assumptions. And you know what happens when you “assume”, don’t you? I mean, I had my own assumptions when I fist got here, but I discovered that this place was much more than just a hub for the oversexed gays. And I’m kind of ashamed I thought that, to tell you the truth.

So I’ll end with this: there’s a reason why human beings are the way we are. We’re gifted with “intelligence” (some more than others) and free will to govern our actions. We all stem from the same embryo with the same capacity for intellectual potential, no matter the person’s gender or ethnicities. And it’s this intellectual potential that grants us the power to go beyond our base instincts of survival and reproduction. If we choose, we don’t have to be slaves to instinct, where as lesser creatures know of nothing else. In other words, we don’t have to let fucking dictate our lives.

So yes, I’m straight. If you don’t believe it, then the problem is yours. I don’t know any of you, so I have no urge to prove anything to anybody. But if the discussions are interesting, juicy, and thought provoking – or if someone asks for help, I’m not going to let a few pictures of erections get in the way of my personal intellectual growth.

Bottom line: more straight guys may be passing through here than you think.

^Ya know, that would have saved me a page-and-a-half worth of text...

Ninjitsu,
I'm so glad that you are open minded enough to drop your preconceived notions about us. Bottom line, we are all men and have more in common than most people tend to believe. My hope is that one day everyone will realize that being gay doesn't make you any different than most people. We all want the same thing. To love and be loved. We have bills to pay, family issues and much more going on that just our sexuality. As a gay man, I too was surprised that this board offered so much more than porn. It is a special place where men from all over the world come for help, advice or just someone to talk to. Please stick around and enjoy.

im not just talking about straight guys that are curious or anything like that. im talking about real straight guys who will never be attracted to the same gender.

do u guys think they go to this site to read forums or maybe check out some porn or something?? what do u guys think??

Well I don't know how common it is but when I first joined jub the first friend I made here (talking on pms) was a straight guy.... name was Bill.
And yeah, he was straight all the way. He had gay buddy that told him he should check it out and he did.
I talked to Bill for weeks... guys he was so damned handsome, actually shared some pictues of him in a gallery. Got to talk with him about his g/f.
He let me ask him all sorts of personal questions....
And me being new to jub I didn't know how to react to it all.
Since then I've talked to many, many guys that say they are straight.... I know Bill was... I've talked to lot's of guys that figure themselves as bi too.

Not quite sure why straight guys visit jub... but I know some do... I think it may be that they just want to read about gay guys opinions about how hot or attractive they look. I don't know for sure, just my thought.

I know Bill was !00% for girls.... don't know about the others I've talked to here though... sometimes I think bi means gay just that they haven't figured it all out yet.

I remember my roomate (straight..98% no doubt) checked out the site after a wrestler indirectly mentioned it on live TV. He googled the name of the wresler + gay and lo and behold the first page was all JUB.

Ninjitsu, i believe what people say they are with common sense. I didn't notice anyone "lied" about important issues.

...Now personally I believe that many homosexuals are simply born gay and could not change even if the wanted to, while others "become" gay through environmental factors related to their upbringing. Statements like this seem to confirm that theory...

...No offense to you guys, but I generally find the idea of having sex with men disgusting (as do many straight men)....

You sound like someone I knew that eventually figured out he was bi. I hope that you eventually make peace with that concept. Why else would you be here in JUB ????

I got into JUB first for the pix, but now really only come in here for this "Straight and Bi" forum. It's not easy to find other guys who really understand the attraction to both.

IMHO, this subject, probably some straight guys come in here to compare their cock size to the models in the photos. There are so many men these days worrying about how small they are, when they are completely in the "normal range."

Some guys fantasize about blowjobs, regardless of who's doing it.

Finally, cock is cock, men are turned on by it, especially when penetrating in and out of a woman (straight), or a man (gay or bi), either way, it's hot to them. Guys like porn for this reason.

the site is just a cool forum site, especially the politics and religioin area

beat me to it.

I was going to post a reply stating something to this effect. I've found some of the best discourse on topics here. It's a lot less...what's the word...childish (I read fark.com a lot, and those threads get out of hand from jump), more thought out (in some posters' cases), and very informing.

Sexuality aside, if you know your shit or would like to be better informed on your shit, get on over to Current Events and Politics.

I still watch straight and lesbian porn because it's entertaining, not to get my rocks off. Maybe I'm just weird, though.

What I'd like to know is whether a straight guy can end up becoming gay or bi if he stumbles onto this site.

I highly doubt it.

Most real straight guys I know don't even like straight porn, they get angry/competitive with the guy they see fucking the girl or they tend to think that the guy is treating the girl wrong and get upset. It's not even that arousing to them. Plus, many straight male porn stars tend to have homoerotic aspirations and seem to get turned on more by their own aggressiveness than the woman they're fucking. That's why a lot of straight porn stars like to joke and laugh at this, they try to avoid doing anything 'gay' but gay moments still come, that seems to be what is so erotic for gay men.

The straight guys I know like the classic playboy stuff, or maybe the women in maxim.

I still don't see why people can't just enjoy what they like without labeling it lol but the world isn't perfect, we feel we have to idealize sex.

I believe there are a few real straight guys on this site who happened to stumble here by accident and found our forums and became members out of curiosity or just to share knowledge...

However...

I believe some really aren't straight at all... They just know that lots of gay men prefer "straight" guys and use it to their advantage.

One in particular springs to mind who goes on and on about making sure everyone knows how straight he is but he's already proved to be a liar about other things so there is no reason to believe he's really straight either.

I highly doubt it.

The only part of this post I agree with is the last bit. Everything else, I think is a bit backwards.

I come on this site..I'm straight, just like showing off...

That raises a question for me, and please don't take it negatively. Didn't you admit to having sex with trannies before? I myself am seeing a girl right now and I really like her, and have never engaged in tranny sex. But I don't use the label "straight." You know what I mean? You use the label straight so I would like to know why you consider yourself as being so.

Also, I bring up the question of guys possibly turning curious or bi by being on this site because it reminds me of that Laud Humphreys study done in the past. I don't know if any of your Psych professors ever discussed this but Laud Humphreys was a sociologist and formerly "straight" man who did a study on gay men engaging in sex in public restrooms. He pretended to be a voyeur and even went as far as standing as lookout for cops while he observed these men. And he watched hundreds of guys and he according to him, over 50% of them considered themselves as "heterosexual."

Humphreys was married back then but eventually came out as gay man afterwards.

If straight guys check out this site and do not post negatively, then welcome, welcome, welcome. These people ought to be commended and respected. I love u straights who love us!!!!!
