  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Do u craiglist? :P

I will look occasionally as well, but I would never post on there for a hook up or anything.

Too afraid of meeting some psycho.

we checked our local section and was surprised at the ads, it would seem that the wording used in ads would be construded as solicitation for sex. as some are asking for money and rent and other favors..Dont see how that gets by the poilce if they checked.

Never. Too dangerous. Locally, several crimes have been linked to craigslist including:

Identity theft...people giving too much personal information in e-mails as well as face pictures which are used for other purposes.

Home invasions - cops have found that people are "hosting" sexual encounters and in doing so, giving out their home address to a total stranger. Fact is you really don't know who you are talking to and pictures guarantee nothing. That stranger you are hosting may be a gay-hater who simply wants to rob you...or worse. If you insist on doing this craziness, at least meet in a public place FIRST.

Assaults - Physical attacks by hustlers, druggies and other street trash. Even street trash have computers these days and the hustlers love it because it keeps them off the streets and away from the cops.

Be VERY careful on ANY hookup site. I'm sure some will say "oh I go on craigslist all the time and meet guys and nothing ever happened."

Maybe not YET!

I trust my intuition. :P

I don't want to die a virgin. :P

i actually used it last night for the first time. this ad said he wanted a massage and then get off. so i met @ his house. it was strange. he didn't know me from adam and just let me in his house and he took off his boxers after leading me to the bedroom. i said i have to pee, he showed me the bathroom and then when i
came back he was naked and laying face down on the bed in his darkened room.

luckily for him i'm not a psycho. so i gave him a massage, which he fell asleep to.
rolled him over for the handjob and then left. he did have a nice body and i had a
good time. i did call my friend and told him where i was and what i was doing in case i went missing. if he contacted me again i would do the same again.

some ads are just weird to begin with so i wouldn't answer those anyway, but a
massage was just fine with me. i wouldn't answer one that say they are a cum dump or panty whore looking for 10 guys to drill their hole. those are scary to me.

I posted an ad once. We exchanged numbers and right away he started doing creepy shit, so I cancelled and it got even worse. Luckily he stopped texting and trying to call.

He tried finding my address with those phone look - up things. Never touching craigslist again.

Sometimes I do check the missed connections only to be dissapointed.

Ya, I need to find a sugar daddy to pay for med school :P

It's the thrill of the hunt. :P Finding a good catch among the toad.

That's the way to do it. I've hooked up twice using Craigslist; both times were good, fun, and safe. The guys were sane/normal. I have rules though. I never host, I don't exchange numbers until I feel pretty good about the guy, I refuse to meet unless he sends a face pic, and he has to seem normal. No crazy shit. I also don't respond to really weird ads, lol. It can be fun if done right, especially the excitement elements of having sex with a stranger. You just have to be cautious.

I've used it to find parking tenants/sublease before.

They were okay people. :)

I only go there to post...I barely look at the ads because most of them have stupid pictures you can't see what somebody really looks like...
I always write that if they reply to me to reply with FACE and BODY PICTURES and I repeat it about 2 or 3 times and i ALWAYS
get at least 3 emails with no pictures and a bunch with only a penis or body picture.
I have met 2 guys on craiglist....completley normal. All the other ones I met were from adam4adam...I haven't had any bad experiences yet except one of the guys looked masculine in his pictures but he was really feminine....yea...but he didn't try to rob me and kill me..so it's all good.

Been browsing out of curiosity... I'm pretty sketched out about the whole thing. I mean this is St. Louis I'm dealing with here, this sh*t ain't no joke.

It is sort of exciting. Maybe I'm in the wrong for not having enough faith in humanity, but I find it very easy to type stuff like "ddf", or whatever, just like a reflex or something. It's much easier to lie when you only have to type cute little acronyms, dont you think?

I will say, some of these scenarios that people describe are pretty hot. Almost takes the fun out of stuff happening socially, though. I like to work for my sex.

For sex, it's been a total waste.

For almost everything else, perfect. I bought a bike, deck furniture, got two jobs...

Why yes I do. I have found work on Craigslist which actually led to me finding my current employment. I have also used it for hook-ups as well and I can't say I cant complain about that aspect of it either lol.

I've sold stuff there. I think it varies depending what city you are in.
