Do you believe in God ?

Yes I believe in more than one God they just don't care about anything but themselves this whole planet was created on a bet between Yahweh Odin Zeus and Ra DM me if you want to know more

Yes, I kinda do. After my mum died I felt like that was the one thing that comforted me at night when I couldn't sleep, got me through the day and honestly pulled me back up when I felt like the world was ending. It's nice to have some kind of faith that's why I carry a ring and chain everywhere with me as a reminder of how I was raised.

No. We have historically covered what we can't understand with gods or some "higher" beings. But thunders aren't sent from zeus (sadly, that'd be cool, even if that guy had some real issues and such a weird character development). And even if we'd like some kind of narrative (like religions give us), to "mean" something other than spending our limited time, or even if we would love to be rewarded for our good deeds (big red flag, at least for me, if goodness comes from hoping some reward or from fear of punishment). As we advance, and keep understanding things, we need and as such, create, less gods to fill our voids. And I can't dimension the pain of never seeing the people I have loved and still do, ever again. Complete denial, don't want to/will never accept it. But... "Just cause you feel need it, doesn't mean it's there..."
(My opinion, and nothing original, could be totally wrong though).

"Believe..." I think this word points towards something you know for a fact to be true. I personally have not met God itself. I can tell you without a doubt that I have called his name more than a time or two in my life. But I don't know if that was actual prayer. But according to my observances and literal lifelong study of the subject and understanding that there is definitely a separation between what religion is and what spirituality is, the closest thing we can get to God is an observance in nature in my opinion. Understanding cause and effect and the way that things work in nature and how everything is actually perfectly balanced even that we think everything's out of balance at this time in our civilization however we don't understand that where what's out of balance and nature is in perfect harmony and this planet only reacts according to what we as conscious humans apply to it. And now I can't tell you for sure whether or not ( we humans being conscious of what we apply to our reality) it's 1000% our responsibility and therefore we have to correct it, because as far as I can tell through experience that we humans are by nature enslaved by our desires and are therefore spurred to action only for the sake of avoiding deficits or fulfilling said desires, must reasonably be the product of some creation created by some creator, and part of some design, brought forth by some desire. To me, that creator could be considered God....

no. gods are a cringe ideal.

i used to, but noit any longer. religion is cringe.

nobody needs relgiion to be happy or contented. People who say such are just limited in their thinking. the world is a mix of various different thoughts, beliefs and ideals.

No. Religions have been created by every culture throughout history. They serve to explain things beyond understanding. In this day and age, there is no room for religion. At this point religion is for people that can't bear to accept the nothingness after death. Without the promise of everlasting life, religion is nothing. (Seriously, an eternity with my family? sounds like hell)

Partly, though religion is just a widespread manifestation of innate spirituality. It's not just about explaining things.

Belief in God is cringe.
The reasons for it are needless.
Hope and comfort? this can come in many forms.
Community? The same again, it's very relative.
Morals? This comes from living. Merely living shows that harming others is bad. duh.

David Attenborough - an intelligent man I have enormous respect for, put into words something I'd long suspected.

Sir David Attenborough has revealed that he receives hate mail from viewers for failing to credit God in his documentaries. In an interview with this week's Radio Times about his latest documentary, on Charles Darwin and natural selection, the broadcaster said: "They tell me to burn in hell and good riddance."

Attenborough reveals creationist hate mail for not crediting God (The Guardian; January 2009)

Sir David's view, is good enough for me

I discoverd after years of a deep interest in mythology that ALL patriarchal beliefs are anti nature and anti human. So take Christianity--it makes out there is a serpate 'God'/sky daddy who created nature but is above and separate from it, and these religions are called Revealed religions because they depend on a book said to being their God revealing himself. Well Goddess religion and infigenous beliefs do not do that---they see NATURE as sacred. And wer are nurtured by and learn from nature and not some old book full of words.

Belief in God is cringe. It's not required to be a "good person".
Are most religious people "good people"? Look at the carnage of the world, mostly conducted by religious people.

which indigenous beliefs? It's a mistake to think that Christianity imposed patriarchy onto others. The Romans, even before they were Christians, were very patriarchal.

I do not believe in God or any religion. I was raised episcopalian, but by the time of my father's second tour to the Middle East prayer lost meaning to me. I told my mother that I didn't believe and while she did ask why, she never stopped me from going my own way.

While I don't know for sure what created everything. I subscribed to the belief most scientific evidence has shown. I also don't believe that religion is best used for such answers.

I believe religion is merely a tool created by man to be the foundation of civilized society. As a tool it can be used for good or selfish ends. It all depends on the individual and group.

I will never try to sway someone away from their faith. Whatever gives someone closure, meaning, or whatever they need religion for, I have no right to challenge that. My words are my own opinion and interpretation of my experiences in life. I mean no disrespect or heresy.

I absolutely believe in god but he made me this way I love black men and I’m sure it was always meant to be this way I don’t want to settle down because I love the attention just as much as women do
