i don't call it talking to myself. i call it thinking outloud. as long as you're aware that you're doing it and aren't talking to somebody who isn't there then there's nothing wrong with that at all. i think its quite enjoyable and stimulating.

i sometimes say things that i should be saying to myself out loud. one time i asked this guy in an attorneys office a question that he answered in a very rude, snippy way. i responded by saying maybe you should go fuck off...he got furious that i would talk to him like that. apparently he was allowed to be as rude as he wanted, but nobody else was. we nearly came to blows, but i think he decided that any one who would say what i said should not be messed with. other than that, i dont really talk to myself.....out loud anyway

All the time. I don't think a day goes by where I don't talk to myself. Sometimes other people point it out to me when I don't realize I'm doing it.

I don't really talk to myself. But I do talk to other people who don't happen to be in the room with me at the time... Quite often actually. Usually it's stuff I didn't think to say to them earlier or stuff I want to say to them. Every once in a while I'll carry on a conversation with them, imagining how they would respond to what I said and then I respond to that. I don't see it as a crazy thing really, just kinda fleshing out an idea to see how a conversation might progress before I actually have it with them. It can be confusing though sometimes, because sometimes they'll say something that makes me mad and then I'll be mad at them for no apparent reason. Maybe I really am crazy. :?

Don't worry, I don't think it's crazy. I do a similar thing. Either that, or we can be crazy together...

I am not talking to myself at the moment. I had a fight with that douchebag.

I talk to myself, sometimes, with those menial things. More often, I monologue to myself... sometimes I practice a speech that I want to give to someone who's pissing me off (but will never really recite), sometimes I'll make up a scenario like that in my head and act it out, sometimes I'll just imagine this whole other person with their own set of problems and start monologuing like I'm them.

...yeah, I'm one of those crazy self-talkers you see walking down the street. At least I don't have conversations with myself.

Yes, all of the time. I think it could be linked to genetics because both of my parents do it. My dad actually narrates what he's doing. It's really strange. Besides the normal stuff where I'm unaware that I'm talking to myself, I tell myself I look hot in the mirror lol.

Mostly inner though. Not really speak it out. Sometimes I do it if I want to learn that language.

All the time. I usually have a song going through my head and I speak the lyrics. I catch myself doing this in the grocery store.
