Do You Feel Guilty Owning A Car?

I am asales rep that covers all of Indiana, Illinois and Michigan what do you think I could do?

I have a very fuel efficient car and therefore feel no guilt. My vehicle has no emissions, anyway!

I own a Toyota Corolla which gets great mileage therefore not polluting as much. I don't feel guilty although I should, but there's no train/subway around here and I live out where there's no Walmart or any good convenience stores to walk to.

I don't even feel guilty by not knowing how to drive a car... that is, driving without endangering other people's lives and my own.

Nope. Because I don't. I tend to walk everywhere, or get a lift if someone's going there anyways.

Walking everywhere is a really good way to save money and lose weight. For all those people who're desperately trying to diet, just try it for a while. Most people who're overweight don't really realise how little they exercise, and it's a good way to do it that doesn't really require much exertion. I listen to my MP3 player while I do it. Sometimes to a band like Rammstein, and then you get there twice as fast because you find yourself marching in time with the music.

Love some of the replies above about how they drive eco-friendly cars.

ALL cars pollute planet earth.

Not only that, if there were less cars on the roads, public transport would be a viable alternative.

Lots of people get to work in places where there are no parking facilities.

Why can't you?

Most people who drive to work are selfish idiots who have not the slightest concern for anyone but themselves.

havent owned my own car for over a year now. i walk, ride, train, bus or fly wherever i need to go....mostly walk or ride.....fitter and healthier because of it :D

i am required to drive the work car occasionally for work though ](*,)

never feel guilty about owning a car. Then the enviromentalists win!

You should feel more guilty about single handedly putting Ford, GM, and Chrysler out of business.
Why should I feel bad about putting them out of business?

It just so happens I drive to work IN an eco-friendly car (its electric, with a specially designed "green" battery. There is NO pollution.)

Also, public transport isn't always a viable alternative, especially in my line of work. When one protects others (being willing to take bullets for them, if need be), stuffing them on a bus with possible attackers isn't viable.

Any other childish whining you want to do about this selfish idiot?

We're in drought here in California should I stop showering?

Nope... i dont feel guilty...

My car is 17 years old from the date of manufacture and it is tuned, has no catalytic converters, a 3in turbo back exhaust and runs a tad rich at idle... nope... not guilty

This is a connection ;) to another thread.

What connects these eco-friendly, organic, natural, green, new-age, wind-powered names:

Breeze
Echo
Aurora
Oasis
Accord
Discovery
Civic
Horizon
Skylark

And the car makers make sure they appeal to the gullible gay market:

What is the connection here?

Probe
Lancer
Prowler
Ram
Brat
Impala
Impulse

I don't own a car and so don't feel guilty. I have a company vehicle which I don't use for private millage. I drive as little and as economically as possible and I hate / despise SUV / 4 by 4 drivers unless they have a really good reason for having one ( a feeling of security doesn't count, as the person getting hit will vouch for if they survive)
