If you ever feel like convincing anyone you're straight, go into engineering. They might just think you're a straight virgin too though.

Engineering is like theater for straight guys.

Haha, nah I'd rather just gay up the field a little bit. Sounds like fun. Who said the roads I design can't be dusted in glitter and traveled primarily by Gaga-cycles? Fuck whoever did.

I work in the media which many people don't think of as stereotypical but there are many gays in the media, both behind the scenes and in front of the cameras.

^lol, This is all true for me as well.

My store even plays the loud thumpa-thumpa music that tickles all the gay boys' fancy. :D

That's what finally gave me away as one of the boys at my job. I was on the floor the other day, folding clothes and ignoring customers as usual, and they played this shit over the store's sound system:

lol Let's just say, I went bananas. :gogirl:

Grrr... I WISH my job would play some Gaga. All I get is super duper hipster alternative that ranges from awesome to absolute crap, with some Robyn and Kanye thrown in for good measure.

Sorry. Couldn't resist. :D

Student, going to be a science/math teacher though. I don't think that's too stereotypically gay, though.

In the past, yes.

I've worked in the beauty industry, restaurants and a gay bar.

Now, not at all.

Drive a transit bus.

Interior Design. not Residental. i work for a furniture manufacturer. i was the only guy in my class at college.

I work at a hardware store. bunch of hot, sweaty, buff guys carrying bags and loading hay with their muscles popping out of their shirts. Nope not gay at all. :D

Hospital lab technologist. While becoming increasingly more female dominated, its still not a stereotypical gay job.

Of course, it may have more to do with the fact that few people know we even exist (and this includes other hospital workers)!

im a photo tech for walgreens, so not stereotypically gay

Former Retail manager for a record store. Gayish.

Former Catholic Church pipe organist/choir director. Way gay!

Same here...so my answer would be "sort of".

At one point out of staff of around 30, we had 7 gay guys.

Mechanic. Man oh man, it does not get more str8 than that. I was outed the first day there!

methinks it still come withs da > read ya manual of what expect a bes born inta any century past 10000 years

Retail. Gay-ish.

Depends on what I'm doing that day. My official position is pretty non-gay (working on the receiving dock) throwing huge boxes of stuff around, moving pallets of freight around, not really gay.

However, some days I do other stuff. Dressing the mannequins in the Intimates department was a decidedly UBER-Gay moment. I got to make sure her hair matched the bras and panties! (!)

You decide if I've got a Gay job. :D
