I have a small tattoo of a hand dangling a string of pearls for a cat. All one colour. On my right shoulder. I still love it after 23 years.

I have been thinking lately about getting another one.

My advice: Just think about what you're going to have tattooed permanently on your body. Then go for it.

A friend of mine had a tattoo of a pink bugs bunny on his thigh at the same time as I had mine. That one probably looks a bit silly now.

My mom had a very tasteful one of a swallow on her forearm. I may get one like that.

I don't have any tattoos. I'm too indecisive to get one But I find them VERY attracting especially the sleaves. Sleeves on a muscular guy is...hot XD But the thing is that the tats have to look good. I don't like poorly done tats =.=

Also, if I were to get a tattoo, I'd want one that sort of curves around my nippl or is to the sides of the abs...not really touching them. I don't know... I like when built guys have tattoos that play off of their body. haha

or paint your toe nails pink
or get a piercing

at least you can:-

cut it off
or take it off
or take it out

when you become tired of it, or it goes out of fashion, or becomes uncool.

I currently have 9 only because I am poor. But I REALLY want to get another one. It has been over 3 years since my last one. They are addictive. Every one I have is there for a reason. They tell the story of my life, if only to me.

Forgot to add that it has taken me at least a year to decide on what to get a tattoo of with only 1 exception. I don't regret a single one.

Someone once told me to make sure I would not regret it when am 80. I think about that every time I design a tattoo for myself. I only have 3 "Generic" tattoos.

like 410-ish... down to 165 now and was recently given permission by my doctor to eat more and exercise less

edit: I wouldn't get a "trendy" tattoo (eg: tribal arm band, chinese character, etc) but I'm thinking I'd be safe getting something to represent my heritage and my family's been kicking it in Quebec since the 1600's.

If your family has roots in Québec that old, maybe some branch of your family has a Coat of Arms...
