why?

as a black person, i'll keep it real with you. i don't like this whole idea of "black leaders" which main goal is to speak for the whole entire black population in america which is ridiculous if you ask me. that just irks me. you know, i don't look at malcolm x, martin luther king, marcus garvey, huey newton as "black leaders speaking for black people", more of guys that were representatives for a huge movement in civil rights for everyone. i don't need someone to speak for me. i can speak and stand up for myself even if the police try to punk me around in which they tried to do that bullshit to me on my bday 2007 in warren county, new jersey. i was ready to get my ice cube on with those bitches. punk ass police officer tried to punk me around but they didn't have anything on me except that i was driving under a permit past the designated time. they can still kiss my ass.

but as far as him, al sharpton and jesse jackson goes, they all are dirty, have dabbled in some dirt and etc. they're not as clean as they wish they were to present themselves. i think farrakhan had something to do with malcolm x getting killed and al sharpton and jesse jackson had something to do with mlk jr getting killed. that's what i heard by the way. basically, these guys pretty much had to do some shit to get to where they're at because during the time, it was really hot. they pretty much marked men for even associating themselves with those figures. the feds, cia and etc had their sights on them so the fact that they were able to outlive all their comrades and be at the positions that they are at speaks volumes. they done sold out. if they were really down for the cause, they would have chose to bite the bullet. you got al sharpton on msnbc, soul train, and even richard bey being a celebrity. you damn well know that dude was snitching on black civil right leaders in order to do what he's doing now. these dudes are sellouts.

Hell no I don't like the scum of the Earth called Louis Farrahkan!

Why would I like someone that calls white people "blue - eyed devils", hates Jews, denies the Holocaust, calls for the violent destruction of Israel instead of a two state solution, believes AIDS was a disease created to kill blacks, hates Christians and Atheists, supported Gadhafi strongly, and finally....... believes in UFO's????

Fuck this degenerate.

Oh, and did I mention he hates gays?? Yeah, that too.

I don't think you should compare Farrakhan with any black leaders today, especially MLK.

It wouldn't take a genius to figure out that MLK would hate Farrakhan and call him out on his reverse racism and anti-Semitism.... that's not what MLK was about.

Farrakhan is a sicko/psycho hater who has no justification in his wackiness.

I watched the videos part 1 to part 5.
He is a great talker but he offer nothing, no solution what so ever.

He basically want black people's money back because of over 300 years of injustice.
That is a stupid and un-reasonable demand.

He should preach hard/smart work and get rich that way instead of wanting money for not working.

Most people who suffered injustice in this world do not resort to trash like him.

He has no points whatsoever.

If anyone on here likes him they need their head examined.

no, i think you misunderstood what i put.

there are no "black leaders". these guys that you see today are pretty much are snitches and sellouts that gave up civil right leaders that the government wanted to knock off back then and were rewarded their lives as well as the positions they have right now. for example, al sharpton is some preacher that is also a known snitch that has dabbled in drug trafficking. these guys are pretty much setting black people back where they're pretty much saying "black people can't fend for themselves. i have to speak for them." this is why you see al sharpton pop up every single time there's a police shooting involving an unarmed black man or some other controversy involving black people. he pops up trying to be the "voice of the people" when nobody asks for his opinion. with mlk, he was basically a representative to the civil rights movements and organizations he had going on. i think calling him a leader would be giving him too much credit because it was bigger than him. it was already a force of its own.

but anyway, farrakhan is a part of the nation of islam which is a black supremacist group like the new black panthers and 5%ers. it's the black version of the kkk. you know, the irony of this is that these groups started as a response to the racism that was going on in america during the time of the 1930s. they figured that in order to counteract the racism going on towards them, they had to do the same shit. as much as the noi is on that black supremacy shit like how the 5%ers are, a lot of these guys pretty much are the same ones that are fucking over the black community engaging in the drug trafficking, violence, and etc. so of course there's no way to compare mlk and him. malcolm x was also a part of the nation of islam. i think the thing with him is that he used the noi as a way to promote more of an aggressive stance similar to how the old black panthers did towards civil rights. "by any means necessary". i may not have agreed with malcolm x's beliefs on white people but i do agree with how blacks needed to be aggressive in a society and a world that was all for exterminating them and not giving them fair rights. to be honest with you, i don't blame him for taking that stance because back then, black people were getting fucked over on some serious shit. you didn't even have to do shit to have a lynch mob come at you if you were black so why not fight back at them or take a stand. people felt like they didn't have a choice because regardless of whether they wanted to do that nonviolent march or some nat turner type shit, they were going to get killed anyway. what options did they have? you can find that the stonewall and gay rights movements were actually influenced and inspired by mlk and malcolm x in a sense.

it's a shame that america tries to cover up history by making a black history month bullshit. it's not even black history. it's american history.

He is very, very charismatic and sometimes mesmerising. I have listened to him at length. Inevitably, though, he trails off into the crazy and I have to turn him off.

As for like or dislike, it's neither for me. For me to feel anything either way would be putting more effort into and giving power to someone who isn't deserving of either.

There have already been four threads on this person. Is anyone here saying anything new?

I'm currently reading the biography of Malcolm X by Manning Marable, one of the most distinguished scholars of black history. I would say this will be the definitive biography for years to come, maybe forever (since Marable was able to talk to a lot of people who won't be around when the next one is written.)

As for Malcolm's assassination, Louis X (as he was then called) wrote in the Muhammed Speaks newspaper on Dec. 4, 1964:
Only those who wish to be led to hell, or to their doom, will follow Malcolm. The die is set, and Malcolm shall not escape, especially after such evil, foolish talk about his benefactor; such a man is worthy of death and would have been met with death if it had not been for Muhammad's confidence in Allah for victory over his enemies.

Ten weeks later, Malcolm was assassinated. The book goes on to say:
Only three hours after the assassination of Malcolm X, Louis Farrakhan delivered the guest sermon at Newark Mosque No. 25 -- the very mosque where the assassins had been recruited and organized. Was his presence in Newark on that fateful day simply coincidence, or something more?...

At present, the evidence suggests that Farrakhan, for one, was not personally involved and had no prior knowledge of the plot; however, he surely understood the consequences of his fiery condemnation of Malcolm, as well as of the forces within the Nation of Islam that would rid Elijah Muhammad of the turbulent priest.

But Marable admits that we don't have all the evidence yet. The FBI is still holding on to thousands of pages of transcripts of phone calls (needless to say, everybody involved in the NOI was being wiretapped.) It's possible that there may even be a call from Elijah Muhammad directly ordering the hit. And in any event, nobody benefited from Malcolm's death more than Farrakhan -- he took over the New York mosque (which had been firebombed and had to be rebuilt), and even moved into Malcolm's old house.

that's what i'm exactly saying. it wouldn't surprise me at all if he was involved in malcolm x's death and the fbi rewarded him for his involvement by putting him where he's at today. they all were marked men that were pretty much as good as dead. how he's still alive and malcolm x is dead? that doesn't make any sense. same thing with jesse jackson and al sharpton. heard jesse jackson had something to do with mlk getting assassinated. smh.
