Do You Like Spinach?

I love eggs benedict on a bed of spinach; and spinach& fetta cheese pastries.

Spinach salad, with mandarin oranges, slivered almonds, red onions, and raspberry vinagrette. ..

Chopped spinach mixed into risotto or a rice dish...

Sometimes I cook spinach in a skillet with butter until it's wilted. Then I scramble an egg and add that, stir and cook until there's no liquid left. Season with salt and pepper...

I do like baby spinach in salads. I do not like regular spinach most of the time, although I do like creamed spinach! Yum!

It's also such a chore to wash it again and again to get rid of all the sand/grit.

I didn't like it till I was about 17, when I discovered the awesomeness that are green vegetables.

I like spinach a lot. Seemingly unlike most people though, I don't like it more than other leafy vegetables. Mustard greens, collards, lettuces, escarole, endives, bitter greens, beet greens, varieties of Asian greens...it's a little disappointing that some of these aren't enjoyed as much as old, familiar spinach.

It's also such a chore to wash it again and again to get rid of all the sand/grit.

Don't wash it beneath running water. Fill a big bowl with water and submerse your greens into that. Lift the greens from the water. Any dirt will have settled to the bottom. If dirt is visible, repeat. I've washed thousands of bunches of spinach over the years. Only very rarely will you need to wash it a third or fourth time using this method.

I LOVE Spinach!!! In any way you can prepare it! My favorite: mixed with Mashed Potatoes, Butter, and Garlic!

I love raw spinach, with lemon juice on it. I can't stand it cooked, though. Cooked greens like collard, mustard, turnip etc. are all good, but cooked spinach is just gross.

I know what you mean. Cook it with more butter than you think you should. It becomes something different and delicious and not just because it's buttery.

I usually steam it with a mix of other veggies, or mix in some raw baby spinach leaves with other salad greens (which, usually, I get as a takeaway from a local salad bar).

spinach is one of those few things that I eat nearly every day (an egg, and a banana, are the other things I have on most days).

I can hardly dislike vegetables and spinach is one of the exceptions. I dislike spinach with all my heart.
