Do you put your bagels in the refrigerator or the freezer?

I can understand putting bagels in the freezer if you're buying a gross or some outrageous amount. But if you're buying from Costco.... calling it a bagel is being generous.
I buy them fresh at the beginning of the week and run through them by the end of the week. I just have them in my bread basket in the kitchen in their original wrapping.

Bagels in freezers? Oy.

Toasted bagels? Oy Vey!

Well Montreal has the best bagels in the world.

I agree...Montreal bagels are the best. As for the question...if I can't eat them before they expire, then I put them in the freezer. Otherwise, they're in the fridge.

When I'm in the mood for a bagel, I buy it fresh and right out of the oven at the little bagel shop around the corner. I only buy one at a time, so there's nothing to put in the fridge or freezer.

Remember, seriously, these are the things that MUST be discussed before you even think of marrying your BF. Frozen bagels have caused the downfall of far too many straight marriages, and God knows what would happen if the bagel reared its ugly head, frozen or not, between two guys who obviously have much more taste than your average Mr. and Mrs. Joe Straight.

Sex is physical, but love and marriage, well, that's a total understanding.

I do not refrigerate or freeze bagels. I leave them on the kitchen counter in plastic. No matter what method you use to protect leftover bagels they will not taste as good as the day you bought them fresh.

Bagel Wars .... Elwood, no offense meant but everyone knows that the best bagels are made in Brooklyn, NY. Comparing a bagel made in Montreal (une ville magnicent) with a bagel made in Brooklyn, NY would be like comparing a Hostess Twinkie to an eclair.

Fridge. In fact, I just had one. It was tasty.

If I am not going to eat them that week I freeze them, otherwise I refrigerate them.

Bagels are the best thing to freeze. You can thaw them in the Microwave or leaving them out overnight on the counter and they will be fresh.
