Here is what a 45 looks like:

Here is a picture of an LP (Long Playing album) - see the spindle hole size - the plastic insert goes into the 45 so it will fit on the spindle. They also had adaptors for the spindle so you could play a stack w/out using inserts.

The hole is from Juke Box days - gave more positive control retrieving and moving the 45 from storage into place to play and back.

When I first moved to Peterborough in the early 70s to attend university here, the bus cost 50 cents. Today, it's $2.50. (Peterborough is too small to have a subway system.)

You can edit the title. You just have to use the 'advanced' mode.
