Do you think McDonald's burgers are too small?

Yes they are small.

I don't know where you are but around here they have the McDoubles on the $1 menu. It's a double hamburger with only one slice of cheese. Also where I am on Wednesdays and Sundays they have 49 cent hamburgers and 59 cent cheeseburgers and $1 chicken McNuggets 6 piece (!) on Mondays.

I'm from Canada. Wow those prices are a lot cheaper; everything costs a few times more here than in the states.

Some of those are only specials.

Don't you have Dollar Menu items there?

they usually have these items on the dollar menu: the McDouble, or McChicken (cheap processed chicken sandwich) small fries, sundae, 2 apple pies, and yogurt parfait.

and for breakfast the sausage McMuffin (no egg) or sausage buiscuit (no egg) or sausage burrito for $1.

I can count on one hand the number of times I've been to that awful place in the last decade, but lucky for you, one of these rare visits was actually just last week - and yes, the burger was too small - especially when you consider the size of the 'small' coke drink I got. (*S*)

Way too much fizzy drink for way too little burger. And needless to say, it's always lukewarm and never hot. :##:

Off-topic: Is anyone else amazed by the amount of really young children and toddlers that parents bring to these places?

If I was a father, I wouldn't dream of feeding my 4-year-old/5-year-old on this type of food. #-o

Have you been to Jack In The Crack, lately. The burgers that come out of there ain't what they used to be, either.

Well I'm sorry to hear that :( I haven't personally been to a MCD's in a long long time....but I'm sorry that happened.

But yes. they're small. Going to McD, I never order burgers to make me full.
In fact, I don't quite remember the last time I went to McD; too frequently visiting KFC for the fish burger, which is cheaper, more fluffed up, and more satiating.

Wow, that is definitely extreme false advertising. I never understand how businesses legally get away with it. Especially with the high price of food these days. There is marketing, and then there is lying. This is obviously the latter.

Last time I was at McD's, the burger was awful (it was cold and not quite done, either). Took it back to the counter, and instead of telling them it was disgusting, I told them it wasn't what I ordered. I pointed to the picture of a Big Mac and said 'I ordered THAT'; I got this blank stare. The crew leader was called over and I again pointed at the picture on the menu board told her I ordered THAT and not THIS (pointing at my purported Big Mac).

She gave me my money back, anyway.

I've only been to a McDonald's "restaurant" once, many years ago. My lasting impression is how revolting the food was. As far as quantity is concerned, I'd have thought it was a case of the smaller the better.

Most fast food days these days are a rip. It's about the convenience. Imagine how good homemade burgers could be for the same price as a couple of maccas meals?

I can't remember i bought any McDonald's since i joined JUB.

If you go to local pubs, their daily special (meal) are pretty cheap with all you can eat Salad bar.

I've never been to a McDonalds ... or any of those fast-food/junk food places.

Years ago they never offered any sort of vegetarian options; and if they do nowadays, I don't care.

Yes, they are small, but that's not really news now. They do have the dollar menu. Even then, those things aren't worth it. I do have cravings, though. So I go to McD once in awhile :| Last time I went was a few weeks ago and they had this mushroom burger thing. IT would've been awesome had there been lettuce.
