Doctor Who Season 3

I wish people would stop spoiling Doctor Who. I chose not to watch the clip with Captain Jack but now people are discussing it and I have to avoid reading it.

The Doctor Knew Jack was still alive he knew Rose gave him life.
But he did run off and leave him.

in the Christmas special the tardis door is opened and they don't get sucked out so it is safe to assume that it has some sort of bubble around it to protect it.
Also in the first season the Daleks shoot at the Tardis and it has a very large force field then.

I have not seen if they are makeing a christmas special this year or not

Ohhhh. so what did folks think about the conclusion of family of blood? have ya seen it yet?

i wont talk about it just yet. i teared up a bit though.

also does anyone understand how the guy at the end telling the story was ABLE to tell the story? let's not discuss until everyone has seen it though. ;)

Saw it late last night (early morning). Loved it. Talk about it in another day when I know ppl have seen it! But just one thing I'd like to point out....wow....don't get the Doctor mad!

I missed it last night as I was out all day and didn't get home until 7.30 p.m. and had missed most of it so I watched it tonight on BBC3 and it was brilliant. Definately the best episode of the series and the performances of David Tennant and Jessica Stevenson (I forget her married name) were fantastic. I think this is the first serious role I've seen Jessica in and I was really impressed. She should do more drama.

Wasn't it the boy who took the watch that was telling the story and he survived World War 1 thanks to the watch. So why wouldn't he be able to tell the story?

Btw what the hell is going on in the next episode? The Doctor on some sort of screen telling people not to blink?

if you mean near the end where the guy was telling what happened to the "family" it wasn't the boy. It was the one called "Son of mine". The reason he was telling the story was to show the old moral tune of becareful of what you wish for. "The family" wanted eternal life and the Doctor gave it to them. He must have saved the son for the last.

What's the story with blink? I don't know. I can't find a plot outline for it at all. All i know is that this story will not be centered on the doctor. The doctor will only show up in a few places. Think of season's two episode called "love of monsters" was it? Where the main villian absorbed ppl.

I didn't find the preview all that exciting and I figure this one's going to suck but after that it's Captain Jack for the next three! ..|

oh the digital spy forums, i voted excellent for this episode. as i said there, that was only the third one (i think) that i voted that way. the first was school reunion, and the second was girl in the fireplace. i'll admit though that i mostly voted that way for school reunion because Sarah and k-9 were in it. ;)

the boy telling the story about what happened to the family, was not Timmy who was telling what happened to him at the very end. the one who was telling what happened to the family was the school kid that got taken over by one of the aliens and was made a scarecrow at the end. my question was...who was he telling all this to and how was he telling it if he was trapped as a scarecrow? maybe it means nothing, but it's just my imagination wondering why. ;) could be i'm looking at it too seriously i think.

i think all the main characters played their roles amazingly. the nurse's barbs at the doctor at the end were so insightful and a bold criticism of the doctor's life. sorta like donna did at the end of run away bride.

while i liked love and monster's last year, i kinda didn't like the doc not being in it much. i wonder why they are doing that sort of thing?

maybe he escaped his fate. Returning villian for the future? Maybe it a confession. His last words. Who knows for sure, all I know is that the episode was as the doctor would say.....Fantastic! :D

Well the guy who became the scarecrow didn't die so you were just hearing his thoughts about the Doctor from a different perspective.

I hated Love and Monsters. It's the first time I've ever switched off Doctor Who so that doesn't bode well for the next episode.

oh yeah I'm good! I might even be a Time Lord! :)

Found the plot outline for "Blink"
