  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

Does anyone else enjoy being sick?

Meh... well I am sick of being sick. It was OK for a little while but now it's annoying. Especially since it's the weekend. I haven't been able to get anything done because I'm in bed most of the day.

Do you really love being sick or do you flash back when you were little and you had a day off from school and a rectal thermometer inserted into your butt?

Very rare that I ever get ill....Ever....I'm 34 and the last time I had to take off work because I wasnt feeling good was when I was 21...I use all of my Personal Time off on the job just for vacation or appointments...

The fact that I don't get sick might have a lot to do with the Fact that I don't smoke and drink every blue-moon....

I also Love myself and I like myself and I treat my Family & Friends the way I want to be treated.....So my stress level is always on "The Down Low"..I Love to laugh so the people in my Life will usually find me in a good mood.....That probably is part of the reason why I don't get sick...

As for me, I enjoy from time to time being sick but the reason is that sickness is the opportunity for me rethink some ideas in my head and to really appreciate my health in fact.

I don't think it's that weird. I think everyone likes attention and feeling special but I'm well over it now.

Fuck being sick. The attention was OK for a while but now I'm ready for it to end. I've been cooped up in my room for 3 days now. The whole fucking weekend was wasted.

I DO sort of understand the original concept that was brought up here....

While being sick and feeling like crap mostly sucks, if you have someone to take care of you (My Mom lives 10 miles away !oops! ) and you're home sick from work watching "The Price is Right" and curled up under the covers on your couch eating chicken soup and drinking Sprite...

Meh

Well, there's a sort of flashback to your childhood when everything seemed less scary and you didn't have to deal with all the bullshit and the rat race in the "real world".

But, that's an illusion that you can't let yourself dwell in for very long....

Wow, you are crossing to the path of having Munchausen syndrome (factitious disorder).

I am sick and will be sick my whole lifetime; I certainly don't enjoy being sick despite all the doting and attention. And frankly, I think people around will be tired playing the role of a caregiver of the sick role, so it's not a good thing to be ill continuously.

Well, different strokes for different folks.

I like being sick sometimes. IDK why. Makes me feel "human" ... or something. Fun times.

I think this is it.

And if you're not at death's door, there is something comforting about being propped up in bed, nursing some tea and bourbon, surrounded by cats on the bed and knowing that by tomorrow, you have to sac up, finally shave and shower and get on with your life again.

I hate being sick, and only a sick person would start a thread like this.

Looking at your face makes me sick. Stop trying to fill the role of Jasun. He's back now so we don't need your fat ass trying to copy people.

Well, it helps me being less horny... and during weekends it's dizzy in a cozy, not work-disrupting way.
Like everything else, especially the more sophisticated ones, in small amounts and doses.

In the other senses, only when being considered a sick person pisses off the real sick people.
