  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Does anyone else have a hard time getting warm?

After my Mom had her heart attack, the doctors give her some "blood thinning" medicines and she's had a "chill" ever since.

So Christopher123, Robert~Marlénè is really onto something about niacin.

Niacin is also naturally occurring in some grains and vegetables too:

Alfalfa, artichoke, asparagus, barley, beans (green), broccoli, burdock (seed), carrots, cauliflower, celery, dandelion greens, fenugreek (seed), kale, lamb's-quarters, lentils, lima beans, mustard greens, oats, okra, peaches, prunes, raisins, rutabagas, sage, soybeans, sticklewort, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, turnip greens, watercress.

source: Herbal Descriptions.

Sometimes all that you really need to do is to run in place or do some cardio work like jumping jacks, or running in place for a few minutes to get the blood flowing.

That are watch some really hot porn!

(*8*) (*8*)

For some reason, I get the best sleep in the ambient temperature in my room is around 68, and I've got my comforter snuggled up around me.

Hmmmmmmm.... I take aspirin regularly. Maybe that's what part of my problem is.

Now that I can handle ;)

Thanks for the info on the niacin.

Oddly, I can't stand being hot when I sleep. Sometimes if the house is too warm, I'll get up in the middle of the night to go turn the heat down.

I think my body temperature is all screwy.

Apparently what I need to do is run in place while watching 2 hot guys get it on. Not a problem here at all.

I don't like the cold because I lose heat fast. I'm an ectomorph, tall and thin.

In the house I feel ok. Sometimes I'll turn on a space heater if I need to. My house has very poor insulation as it is very old and so on the really cold days its really drafty in here.

I have flannel sheets too! Gotta love 'em! ..|

I
I DO like my bedroom cool when sleeping though. I have the window open, and the fan sitting by said open window

I can NOT sleep without a fan running. That fan has to be on every single night. And if someone comes into my room and turns it off - doesn't matter how dead asleep I am - I wake up instantly. My alarm can go off, my dogs can bark, a TV can be going, won't bother me. But come into my room and turn off my fan and I wake up just like that.

Me too. And I freeze even in my house sometimes.

Thanks for the answers, guys. I'll look into that niacin thing. And maybe I need to take a little less aspirin. My blood is probably too thin.

I warm up pretty quick.. it does help to have someone next to you tho :-)

Jerzey Dude, go ahead and pile in and join the party.

Except Gabriel is stealing the blankets

We're gonna have to do something about that.

Did you eat something within few hours? Hunger causes low body temperature sometimes

I don't really eat that much. I'm a food snob. So no, I haven't eaten much in the last few hours :(

And yay! G'mo's coming with more blankies ;)

Guess I'll just sit in the corner and freeze.

My feet are always cold, so when I'm in the bed with someone I like to rub my feet on their legs :D

Hah, sounds like me. When I was at home, I had this air filter thing in my room (a glorified fan) and I always had to have it on high every night to be able to sleep. Then when I went up to school, I found that I couldn't sleep without the noise from it. I actually had to find a program to simulate white noise, and I leave my computer on all night when I go to bed, letting it pretend to be a fan :luv:
