For us the voters - it would be better to know exactly what the Conservatives stand for.
Now I am no supporter of the Conservatives, but politically I understand the party needs to seriously readdress where it stands on some issues. It has to work hard to make itself more appealing to the British electorate.
In the 90's the Labour Party did the same thing. There was a point where it was not clear what it really stood for. The Conservatives are doing the same now.
If they did not take a serious look their policies after three general election defeats, we the electorate would accuse them of being stuck in the past and not listening.
