Yes.
But....
Used as adjectives, "fuck", shit", damned", and all the rest are wasted breath unless they show up only as occasional sharp spice. Frequent appearance in conversation tells me the person isn't really conversing, just expressing; the point isn't to communicate, but to vent thoughts and feelings in someone else's direction.
Often the words do the same job as "uh", "um", "well", and others that serve as verbal stalling while the brain works out the next real word -- they're filler, meant to keep the verbal ball in one's own court while thoughts get formulated for speaking, so one doesn't lose the chance to voice opinion or whatever.
Frequently the same overabundance indicates the level of the mind doing the speaking.
If I'm in a laid-back sort of mood, I use them as entertainment by taking them literally -- like:
<dude> That fucking cunt--"
<me> That's one use.
<dude> What?
<me> One use for a cunt is fucking.
<dude> Whatever! That cunt said--"
<me> That's quite a talent.
<dude> Huh?
<me> A talking cunt -- I've never met a chick who could talk with her cunt; it must be really impressive.
<dude? Fuck you!
<me> Sorry, I'm booked for the next three months.
or:
<dude> Fucking shit!
<me> Whoa -- that could feel interesting, but the mess....!
Anyway....
