Dueling Diva's: Madonna, Mariah, Celine, Janet, Whitney

Well Timberland is producing Celines ENTIRE album so you can count her out already LOL. Look i hope for the best but she is risking alienating her core fanbase which is huge.

For me Whitney, Britney and Janet.

I am still rocking to "Confessions" so Madonna can take a break.

I honestly dunt think I've ever heard any of these chicks sing... (well except Moddonas stufff from the 80s)...

How exactly do you rank highpitched skreetching anyways???

No matter how much they try, Madonna will always be #1:gogirl::gogirl:

Then there is Mariah -- Her last album was the best selling album of 2005.

I don't presume what the other ladies having up their sleaves, but I'm sure Mariah will sell the most albums.

So many people on this board are obsessed with record sales. Do you really think that the highest selling albums are always the best ones? Have we become such lemmings?

That said, I'm most interested in Whitney's album myself. When she's good, she's the best of them all--here's to hoping she's good. I love Mariah Carey and hope that her's is another great album. I like Celine Dion when I hear her, but don't miss her when she's gone. Same goes for Janet and Madonna, although I have to say Design of a Decade and the single of "Again" are probably all I really need to own by Janet.

Even when she's not my first choice as personal diva, I must say Whitney Houston album is the one I'm looking forward. I want to see if she still can make a great album after all she went through lately.
Janet and Madonna albums are always on my CD collection the very same day they get release.
Mariah and Celine are good. I like them both. But they are a step behind the rest.

Mariah's new album!!!!, Followed by Whitney, then Madonna!

Mariah, followed by Madonna. That's it.
Janet=Guaranteed Flop
Whitney, not expecting anything, last successful album she had was last century
Celine, who cares?

I like them all, except Janet. As always, I'm most curious about twhat Madonna will come up with this time, after all, she's the only one to change her musical direction with almost every new album.

mariah is gonna be the best i have heard its going to be called 'Illusions' and release date is Oct 10th

I love them all. Bring em on. Can you imagine how many remixes will be coming out of those 5 CD's.(!)(!)(!)The potential is there for any of them to rock our socks off.

I think Whitney deserves a break and for that reason I'm really hoping and hoping she kicks some major diva ass. She's just been to hell and back and could use a confidence booster. Remember what Private Dancer did for Tina Turner.:-)

I'm looking forward to Madonna's the most. Confessions was a great, cohesive album that I can play from front to back.
I'll buy all of them though, except for Celine. Her voice annoys me.

But Whitney worries me. Im not worried that her people wont find her great songs to sing, but that she's done so much damage to her voice that she just wont be able to sing them.

I think there is still hope for Janet as long as JD keeps his distance. Some have been really down on her lately. 20 Y.O wasn't a bad album but it didn't feel like a Janet album. With that said the whole sex kitten thing has been played out.

Whitney, I am curious to see what she does with this album. She hasn't had a hit since Your Love is My Love.

Mariah, is a hit or miss with me. I tend to like her older stuff than her newer. Though I did get into the Emancipation of Mimi.

I feel the same way about Madonna but I know more than likely she will transform again and keep her fans on their toes.

Madonna, of course. She keeps changing, evolving, trying out new stuff. I'm up for the ride!!!

I guess it's just me, but I don't hear that much diversity in Madonna's music. I guess you could say a couple of her albums had more of an electronica feel but it's still all simple pop whether she wears a cowboy hat in the video or not.
