Celine Dion hands down, she has such an almighty voice, no one can touch her vocally and she's a mor entertaining performer than the other two I think Whitney and Mariah vocally are quite similar...:rolleyes:

Celine all the way (no pun intended). In her prime, nobody could beat Whitney vocally, but she hasn't had a good voice since like 1998. I don't understand how people keep counting her as a great singer because she's awful nowadays and has been for quite some time. Her olympic performances were probably some of the worst performances I've ever heard from anyone. She should have crawled in a hole and died after those, they were just too ridiculous for words, vocally and performance wise.

Mariah's voice has gotten incredibly shrill. When she's shreiking the high part in We Belong Together I can't help but cringe. She needs to bring the songs down an octave. Charmbracelet was the album you could really tell she's losing it. That back and forth belt to whisper is just awful.

Celine has lost a bit of her 90's power, but not much; she's remained the best vocalist and can still belt like crazy. She has always taken very good care of her voice, and while this Vegas thing has taken it's toll, she always sounds great on record. She also has an amazing and down to earth personality. She doesn't try to be a diva; she's just goofy Celine. And her music is the most mellow, so if you don't like Adult Contemporary music you probably won't like her.

Why respond if ou don't like them? Sounds really immature to me. And Kelly Clarkson as this generation's Mariah/Celine/Whitney? Two albums ago, maybe but no way is her voice up to par now.

I'd say Christina is this generation's answer to those 3.

But Mariah is my favorite out all three! She has an amazing voice and she writes and produces 95% of her stuff!

Yeah I like that about Mariah as well. Not many artists now are true song writers. They will add one word to a song and all of a sudden they are given a song writing credit.

Whitney for sure. I heard one of the new tracks from her upcoming album. I only heard about 8 or 9 seconds of it but it sounded fantastic. I think i heard the chorus and it was something like "You can talk to me" or something but it was very upbeat and dancey. I really hope she comesback. She's getting pretty good media reports.

Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston are both in my top 10 fave artists of all-time. I give Houston the slight edge, though! ..|

Celine Dion?!? I do like her new song, "Taking Chances" but I think the last song of hers I was nuts about was "To Love You More" ten years ago. I doubt she'd even fit into my top 50 fave artists of all-time.

My pick, again, Mariah and Christina. Christina is actually my fave out of the bunch, but I like each one of them to some degree.

If I had to pick one, Whitney. She may be a car crash, but Mariah has that horrible nasal whine (which do not help on drippy ballads) and Celine Dion induces rigormortis.


Sidebar: Same with Janet Jackson. It's all 'ooh I'm so slutty and whispery' now. Act your age madam.
