I am having an ok week, unfortunately the overworking isn't something that's going to stop soon. However next week I will be taking my vacation which starts on the 8th.

Hello Everyone!

I am really enjoying my vacation from work. So far got pizza on Thursday and been watching Days Of Our Lives with my mom for the most part. I've also been trying to clear my YouTube watch later playlist. Planning on continuing to watch Days Of Our Lives with my mom today as well as doing laundry. Thankfully the hot water got fixed on Thursday.

Today my brothers and I went to Helen, GA to spend the day. We went by Fred's peanuts and got some boiled peanuts, then went tubing, then got some lunch, then got some chocolate, and are now almost home.

I hope you're enjoying your vacation. Sounds like you had a good time at Helen. Ah, boiled peanuts, that traditional Southern delicacy! And a nice day of tubing, sounds relaxing.

Here's a problem you'll appreciate. My water heater died this week. I suppose it could turn out to be something minor like a pilot light problem, but I don't think so. My parents installed it probably over 30 years ago, so I knew it would go sooner or later. It's hot in August here in Florida, so taking cold showers isn't a problem right now. But damn, gas water heaters are crazy expensive! Well, I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and buy a new one.

Wednesday was the last day of my vacation, though I enjoyed it alot.

Things are going ok at work, though if my coworkers would stop hiding things(tongs etc.) from me it would be going better. Hopefully after my trip to Walmart this weekend I will have a long enough pair of tongs so that I can stop being burned so much.

On another note, are there any fictional characters that you know multiple versions of? I know 4 versions of Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Wendy Darling, and Captain Hook.

Man, don't they do anything right at that restaurant? You shouldn't have to buy your own tongs, they should be provided for you. Getting burned on the serving line is a safety issue.

That's an interesting thought about your soulmate may be listening to a song that pops in your head. BTW, do you have a soulmate or significant other? As for different versions of fictional characters, there's lots of them, but the only one I can think of now is Scrooge from A Christmas Carol. There are lots of movie versions, and many cartoons do a riff on that story.

Well, I did get a new water heater, but it certainly wasn't cheap. But I figure it will be a good investment in the long run, if it keeps going well until I sell the house, or the funeral home wheels my body out, whichever comes first.

Sorry you had to buy a new water heater. Hopefully it works until you don't need it anymore.

Popeyes provides tongs, but the 16inch ones keep disappearing. They'll be there on Monday and gone by Tuesday so bringing my own works better so I don't keep spending 30 minutes to an hour looking for them.

No I am single, so maybe that's why I think that about the music. And yes there are very many versions of a lot of characters.

I also thought something yesterday while listening to Dolly Parton's Jolene. Dolly looks like Emma Frost, the woman she describes in Jolene looks like Jean Grey, so the guy could be Cyclops(Scott Summers). So the song would be Jean instead, but I also didn't get a lot of sleep Thursday night so maybe that's why I thought about that.
