Good Wednesday night, @Araucaria!

I had a good weekend. Work isn't working me too hard at least the last three days, we'll see how tomorrow and Friday go.

My Dad went to the hospital Monday at about 1pm. He couldn't get out of bed by himself and he couldn't get his feet underneath him. He has an infection, the doctors just don't know what the infection is or where it is located. He is septic. They thought he might have cirrhosis of the liver, but thankfully they figured out today that it isn't cirrhosis. I was at work so I haven't talked to or met any of his doctors yet. My mom was with him and my information is from her. My Dad can't move his whole left side right now and his left hand looked swollen tonight when I was visiting him.

Eaglex, I'm sorry to hear about your father. Sending prayers and well wishes your way, and I hope the doctors can treat whatever is going on, so he can heal and his health improve. :therethere:

Good Friday evening, @Araucaria! Hi @DantheManFL!

Unfortunately my Dad is still in the hospital, but he might be moving to rehab tomorrow. Just not sure. If so he will be there until he gets the use of his left arm back, his insurance will pay for 20 days so hopefully before those are over.

Work...so we have 2 different tables we use to sift flour and someone Sunday put the old brush in the new table which got stuck until tonight when the Vietnamese guy got there and fiddled with it getting it unstuck. I would say how, but I wasn't able to pay enough attention while he was doing that. Also the filter machine is still not sending oil outside, but I know why. There's supposed to be a lever to turn which opens the hose or something up to send it outside. I just have to figure out how to change it from closed to open and I'll have a way to get that done.

Good Sunday afternoon, @Araucaria!

Friday was a very annoying day. Also to preface this I don't drive, my brother takes me to work and brings me home. I went to work thinking we were going to open, I waited and waited and waited finally about 10 or 10:30 they decided not to open. So I walked to the QT across the street got some food then headed back to wait for my brother to get off of work(which would be 5pm or after) and got settled into a booth.

Started watching stuff on my phone while enjoying my food, then about 11:45am they said depending on how the next hour or so goes we might open for a late lunch/dinner. I took that to mean we'd be opening about 2-4pm til close. 12:00pm said night shift should be ready to come at normal time.

Thankfully by 1:30pm they finally decided not to open at all Friday. So the only food made that day was by me for my brother and his work people. I cleaned the dishes and surfaces that got stuff on them while I was making their food then sat back down and watched more stuff until my brother got to me before 5pm. I came home and went to bed, sleeping for like 15 hours(5:45pm Friday til 8:20am Saturday).

I hope you're doing well, and that things at Popeye's are at least trending toward normal. I hope your brother is considerate when it comes to driving you around. I do like those long sleep-ins when I can do them, and hopefully wake up relaxed and refreshed.
 
Good Friday morning, @Araucaria!

I am doing well. Work is... ridiculous. Someone isn't properly washing dishes so the last 2 days I have had to wash them again before we can open. The fryer oil still can't be sent outside because it is going up and freezing in it. The people who fix it said they have to order a part. So I still have to dump the oil outside myself, which in this weather is the worst.
