These Retro images are great. They bring back a lot of memories. I was ten when I first began to see these- had a bi brother and used to sneek into his collection. (`knew I was gay at seven years of age. I sensed that I was attracted to guys that early) My favs at that time: Bill Hensen, Mike Hensen, and Kevin Williams.

Here's my beloved Kip Noll on the front and back cover of a fascinating little publication called 'Team Spunks' - one I shall NEVER part with! In a truly deluded moment several years ago I put it up for sale on eBay. I was deluded both for thinking that I wanted to get rid of it (what an idiot!), and for forgetting that eBay reacts VERY badly to anything of a racy nature. Anyway, the bids got up to something like US$250 within a day before eBay pulled it (and banned me for three months - the story of my life!).

So, I think this shows what a KEEN nostalgic interest there is in early 80s porn, given how much those dirty bidders were prepared to pay for it. It all seems so carefree and, well, innocently randy now, doesn't it?

I think I bought this mag around 1988, in a bargain bin in one of the first porn shops I ever dared to visit. Cynically, the publishers of team spunks included NO other snaps of the lovely Kip inside the mag. I was ripped off! However, I guess this gorgeous cover sort of makes up for it. Look at how Kip's willy glistens in the light. Do you think he put some Vaseline on it?

Yet, oddly enough, as camp as they all seem now, the clothes the early 80s porn stars were all wearing (the cut off shorts and tees, the tube socks, the Adidas Romes etc) were pretty much what all the Tiger Beat cuties of the era were also gallivanting about in - which is what made the porn stars so especially sexy. Those boys LOOKED just like Jimmy McNichol and Scott Baio and Willy Aimes and Christopher Atkins and Shaun Cassidy and all the rest of 'em, but they also got their dicks out for us! We couldn't have any of those Tiger Beat boys, as much as we wanted them, but my God, we could all have our piece of Scott Noll, couldn't we? Or in this case, naughty Peter Berlin in his sexy satin shorts!

I've included the mag cover - Studflix - a FILTHY publication in its day. I'd never seen nor heard of Lance before when I bought it back in the 80s - I just went nuts about the look of him on the cover. He was just like rather a lot of the surfie boys I lusted after at school. Possessing Lance was a bit like possessing them, really. Well, in my fevered imagination anyway...

Lance's flick was called 'Good Times Cumming' - which I don't think I ever ended up actually seeing. Well, the mag was enough.

Yes, I agree 80's style porn...often referred to as the pre-condom era...was the greatest and one of the all time great stars of that period was Rex Morgan. His videos are still available: Hunk, Faces, Therapy, Hot Rods Young and Hung II, Full Load. Bijouworld.com has some good clips of him in Therapy and Hunk (sometimes billed In the Palm of His Hand). Rex, also known to his Colt fans as Colt superstar Buck Hayes...truly a great star.
