You know Trapped I think you're right. Maybe it is the sheer ubiquitousness of porn today. When I got my first gay porn video, The Bigger The Better that I found in the trash in an apartment building as a teenager, I thought my head would explode. (both heads, lol)

I was beginning to understand what "side" that I played on, but I was still unsure. However, that movie cemented my love for the boys and only the boys. I had seen a couple of straight porn videos and I'd get off on the guys, but gay porn was a whole new world, it was so hot. I literally wore the tape out looking at the first scene with Matt Ramsey (what a shooter!) and Rick Donovan, and of course the scene with Mike Ramsey and Buster.

Back then (well the early 90s for me) it all seemed so fresh and new, even a little "taboo". Because porn is so omnipresent now it just seems to have lost it's luster. Don't get me wrong I still look at a film here or there, but nothing will ever beat the 80s-90s for me.

Hey Turfer...Not sure if this is the guy that you were thinking of, but the description is very similar. His name is Ray Stockwell. He did a couple of films for Catalina in the late 80's. This one was "Full Load - Maximum Oversize"

Me too. Was just browsing the web and stumbled upon a very hot clip from one of those long-ago vintage pre-condom era videos featuring Jim Cassidy and Dakota locked in a very tense, somewhat rough-n-tough moment. The first 2 gay porn mags I bought had photos from 1980's "The Boys of San Francisco" and from Chris Burns and Buddy Preston's scene in 1982's "These Bases Are Loaded." I bought them in '83 or '84. I had my first gay sex in the summer of '84 and bought a few more similar porn mags in '85. It wasn't until the summer of '89 that I bought my first VCR and my first porn tape, 1988's "The Rites of Summer." So anything from that whole decade is fine by me.

I'm still most attracted to men who are the same age as my first (24) and who look like the guys of that era, especially when it come to their hair (blond, slightly over their ears and feathered).

So I can sort of understand, although never condone where illegal, how some guys who have their first pleasurable sexual encounter at an earlier age might be attracted to others who resemble their first sexual playmate.

So many guys in their 20s and early 30s today (especially in porn) have hair that looks like they just walked off an Army base, get weekly buzzcuts and would die before letting a single follicle touch their ears (assuming they still have that much hair) that I'm sure they find porn from the 80s as unappealing and disgusting as I find porn from the late 90s and early 2000s when everyone looked like a Marine recruit at Parris Island.

So, since the 80s porn isn't mainstream, I can see why it is a natural for the Fetish category boards.

My enjoyment of vintage porn has nothing whatsoever to do with blond, feathered hair. Nor did it have anything to do with full pubes or white socks with blue and red stripes at the top.

It was an era when boys were boys and men were men, when you didn't have to worry about sex resulting in a death sentence. It was a time when twinks looked like twinks and not prepubescent boys.

It's not kinky. It's not a fetish. If anything, today's porn with shaved pubes and body hair is a fetish.

Twinks these days aren't attractive if they don't look like 12-year-old boys. I detest such porn, either in printed word or in pictures. It makes me feel like a dirty old man hanging around the school yard watching the boys at recess and whipping one off in the front seat of my van. I never felt dirty whipping one off watching Jon King or Brian Hawks. There was never any mistaking them for 12-year-olds.

I paged through that website and found that not one, but two people listed as having died in the September 11 terrorist attacks were erroneously listed as having died in the wrong year, 2002. I clicked on the email link in the "Contact Me" section and sent a note to that regard, plus noted that the omission of mainstream actor Timothy Patrick Murphy (whose younger brother, Patrick Sean, died in the World Trade Center, ironically on 9/11) and the email bounced back as undeliverable.
