That's really interesting. I can't recall ever hearing of an earthquake in Canada. Thirty seconds doesn't sound like very long, but when everything around you is crumbling I imagine it's like an eternity. Fortunately this was minor..doesn't sound like anyone was injured.
From all the facebook statues ive read, this is how I feel us New Englanders and Canadians feel about earthquakes:
"EARTHQUAKE!!!!!AWESOME!!!!!! Its like a free ride at the carnival!!!!"
My Sister said she felt it in Hackensack NJ.Thats only a few miles from my house,but we didn't feel anything....
I still don't know how it went around us here in Peterborough. Ottawa is to the east and Toronto is to the west. I'm in the middle and didn't feel a thing. Very strange indeed:
