It was apparently felt in here in North Bay as well, but I sure as hell didn;t feel it.

30 seconds is actually a loooooong quake. even something exceptional in strength like an 8.5+ can cause all its damage in less than 10 seconds
 
I am in Ottawa - it was crazy intense here. Lasted probably close to a minute. There are several huge fault lines in the area but they are usually pretty inactive. This was very huge for us.

And yes, this was my reaction. LOL. Being a physical gepgrapher, this is my bread and butter, and I loved it
 
I felt it here but I thought a big truck was driving by the house or they were doing some digging nearby. Lasted about 20-30 seconds.
 
The epicentre was situated in Buckingham, Québec, about a 100 km from Montréal. And i felt it big time. No damage in Montréal, but in the Outaouais region, there was a landslide that damaged a road, and the chimney of a church in Gracefield collapsed. No one was hurt, thankfully.

I felt it. My recliner started rocking on its own and my computer monitor shook a little. But no rattling dishes or shaking picture frames.
 
Apperently it was felt as far as Chicago and Western PA..... i know detroit felt it too!!

Our building decidedly moved around, not only laterally but vertically.

It is an old wooden frame structure so it just creaked, but I could hear some plaster cracking on the second floor.

It was the first time my staff had ever experienced a tremor.
