Does anyone here listen to electronic dance music? Ever since I got into electronic, I was hooked. Let me know if you listen to these artists/music/go to festivals.

Personally, my next electronic music festival will be Nocturnal Wonderland 2011 at San Bernadino. If you're going, let's meet up!!

Here are just a FEW of the artists I like. Check these guys out!

Above & Beyond
Afrojack
Calvin Harris
Armin van Buuren
Dash Berlin
Avicii
Chromeo
A-Trak
Wolfgang Gartner
Cosmic Gate
Deadmau5
Daft Punk!!
Gareth Emery
Eric Prydz
Kaskade!!
Dada Life
Jack Beats
Super8 & Tab
BT
Swedish House Mafia
Tiesto
Steve Aoki

These are literally only about 10% of the DJs I listen to. If you like beats and rhythms, you should give these guys a try. I promise you will like at least a few of these artists. If you want more, let me know...I got tons! :gogirl:

me most definitely i'm an amateur dj called dj samaji look up a song called dance naked by aaron carl i'm the vocals and a song by scarf! called club inferno i came up with the background he's my friend

I'm a big fan of electronica and the artists you mention are also my faves!!!
I already collected some of their albums, remixes, and singles.
Best to mention are:

BT - These Humble Machines
ATB - Trilogy
Armin Van Buuren - A State of Trance
Thievery Corporation - Versions
Freemasons - Unmixed
Blank & Jones - Relax (Edition One)
Schiller - Leben (Life)

I would also recommend Dirty Vegas, AeroSoul, Cinephile, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Massive Attack, And If, Tiefschwarz, Paul van Dyk........and many more!!!!

AWESOME!

samaji, I listened to both those tracks and they're legit!! So cool how you're involved in the scene and have connections. I'm trying to DJ myself, and started a few months ago and it's still all so complicated for me. I'm starting off using Virtual DJ and only mixing for now and it's pretty hard using a computer. I went to a record shop and played with the Pioneer CDJ's and it's too much fun and a lot easier, yet harder to mix. I'm sure you know what I mean.

zunkian, I LOVE Dirty Vegas! and saw Paul van Dyk live (which was amazing). Every other person you named, I don't really know and will definitely check out, as you have fine taste in music from the artists' albums you named.

Are any of you guys going to IDENTITY FESTIVAL by the way? Type in IDENTITY FESTIVAL IN GOOGLE. (I can't post urls yet)

It's only $20 this Wednesday for 20 hours! If they're near your city, I HIGHLY recommend you buy your ticket and go!!!

I was born in Detroit - a birthplace of electronic dance music

and once you go tech, you ain't never going back.

gourami, nice!! John Digweed is pretty good :-) I actually to see Sasha live and was pretty sick. Would love to see Digweed live, heard he's crazy live. Will check out Nick Warren and the others you mentioned. You should get back to listening to music. I don't know how your life isn't colorful without.

syntax, I'm not really into tech but I still got respect for it. It's not that I don't like it, it's just I never got into it. I like tech-trance though! Even though that's not what you're talking about..haha..but thanks for your sharing. Will get into it more :D

No worries! Stick with this thread and you're BOUND to fall in love with a bunch, assuming there's enough interest to keep this thread going. Literally hundreds of new tracks are released every single day, so it shouldn't be hard to keep the thread going lol
