Pat has a fixed notion of what progressives and liberals should "all do" in his mind, and it's a narrow and unrealistic enough notion that it allows him to call any progressive, or any person endorsing any progressive cause, as a hypocrite.

It's hard to say. White people seem almost oblivious to asses. At three different points in my life black girls told me randomly that I had a nice ass. Maybe you should tell Ellen to have me on so I can show it to you. Then she can invite your hands on so we can use them as ashtrays while we smoke cigars and discuss Beethoven.

Regardless, booking the Creampies was simply smart TV. Producers of that show (such as Ellen) are very savvy with their programming. Hence her multitude of awards, not to mention she's hosting the Oscars for the second time.

Whether some posters like her, or like lesbians, or don't--who cares. She's got quite a following, a gorgeous wife, and plenty of money. That's a smart PERSON, period, regardless of any other trait.

I have just been informed that I shouldn't dismiss Beyonce as not having talent, and that I should take note that this video was shot in 1 recording. Fair enough but it's not a live recording and have to say THE LYRICS ARE INAUDIBLE.

And I reckon there'll be less people singing Beyonce in the 22nd century compared to the number people who sing Richard Strauss in the 21st century.

As popular culture evolves a lot of forgettable stuff is created as well as some good or unique things that stand out. And that was likely true in every time period since music has been a popular artform. I'd bet once you go past 50 years back the overwhelming majority of people can't name more than 3-5 composers or musicians.

The notion that it was all good/better at some fixed static point in the past and has degenerated since is myth. 99% of everything made back in the 17 or 1800's was utterly forgettable too and no one listens to it today.
