I'd like to repeat what someone else said upthread. You should write to Ellen and tell her exactly what you told us. She will cry. Maybe she'll read it on the air. But it will mean a lot to her. And you can bet she's been getting flak for "getting political."

That, was good. I loved the mixed looks of amusement and disgust on the faces of the audience members. I especially loved it when she introduced herself..."Hi...it's Ellen Degeneres--the gay one." That was beautiful.

I'm not entirely sure of this, but I read her son hasn't had any association with her for a few years.

Damn I love Ellen. I have seen every single episode since the start, and this just made me laugh so much, especially when she talked to Wanda Sykes, saying she was like bird-watcher who discovered a bird she thought was extinct. Just hilarious!!
