um no, some people actually like watching the straight guy get in on some action. there is nothing wrong with it. plus, (and this is the big idea here), once you start trying to draw lines and claim certain things as "gays only" you will then start to alienate everyone else who is not gay yet supports the gay community.

if you are so intent on protecting gay interests, you might think about promoting the growth of gays in all the other industries, rather than just protecting one single industry (porn of all things). you just stated "heterosexuals are in charge" so how about we move to share the control. on a side note, i will say that your assumption is sort of wrong. many companies not even related to porn make a significant portion of revenue off the gay community, and for this reason have devoted time, effort, and even had executives on their boards hired (because they were gay) to make the companies more gay friendly and serve the community's needs, so your thoughts about heterosexuals being in charge is sort of incorrect in the first place (cheer up its not so bad as you think). :D

i dont really care. hot guy is a hot guy, regardless if they're gay or str8 :)

when i watch porn, it's to jack off not to think about the political correctness of things.

Unless I've missed something along the way, gay porn already is for gays. There's not too large a market for the stuff outside of the gay community, however that may be defined.

Unless you've missed something along the way, gay porn has never featured exclusively gay actors/models. It's featured those who were available, willing, and attractive and/or fit the billing in one way or another.

That you don't like something or don't want something is fine and dandy, and there's a ready-made solution to deal with the problem, Don't watch it or don't buy it. But please don't go getting all Stalinist on us and try to impose on the rest of the world your vision of how things should be or should be done. Your fantasy life, or what turns your crank, shouldn't be imposed upon others, nor should theirs be imposed upon you.

One last point -- if you've got your heart set on being a bitch, at least find something worthwhile to pitch a bitch about. This definitely isn't one of those things ... unless of course, what really gets you off is controlling what gets other people off, or controlling what's available to get them off.

While I seldom find gay-for-pay porn hot - the action just lacks passion - there is something very hot about a straight man getting fucked just for the paycheck!

If straight men want to suffer for our pleasure, let them ;-)

Gay for pay is a myth, though a damaging and sad one. The notion that men who have sex with men over and over on camera could be straight is ludicrous. The fact that some sad gay porn fans actually believe they are straight is pathetic, a reflection of the fact that so many gay men suffer from a profound inferiority complex that makes them fantasize about unattainable straight males. Outside of a subset of gullible gay porn fans, PEOPLE do NOT believe that these gays could be straight. The idea that they are doing it simply for the money makes people laugh and roll their eyes, beyond a naive minority of gay porn fans.

At the same time, it is even more tragic that some gay and bisexual men are so in denial and hate their sexuality so much that even when they engage in public sex acts, they deny their obvious sexual orientation. There is nothing sexy about bisexual and gay men in denial.

Who cares. It's porn, not the Gettysburg address. If some dude wants to fuck and get paid for it and it gets me off - I don't give a shit how he identifies himself sexually.

I don't have a problem with gay for pay...although I do agree with Dudepussy. In some cases I don't think it's a myth. However if you are str8 and getting paid to have sex with gay guys then you better make damn sure you're convincing.

Over at MenAtPlay.com there's a video of Damien Crosse and Brocky Brown. Brown promotes himself as being str8 and having a girlfriend or a wife and from the video you almost believe he's telling the truth about him being straight because he is visibly uncomfortable throughout the entire film. It wasn't just because he was a bad performer, it was painfully clear, the idea of having sex with another man was horrifying for him. Every time Crosse tried to do anything with him, Brown pulled back almost in disgust, and let's face it. What gay man is going to pull away from Crosse, easily one of the hottest and sexiest gay porn stars in the business?? No matter how hard Crosse tried that entire video was a total failure because it was clear Brown didn't want to have anything to do with it.

It was actually uncomfortable to watch. But I'm sure he took the money.

There are few cases of real gay for pay, the example in the above post is probably one. But on sites like broke straight or whatever, they are often just gay guys acting as straight since you can see these same boys in full on gay porn. furthermore having met some self described gay for pay with the girlfriend and the straight lifestyle, they admit they are at least a little bi to be doing this in the first place.

Right, because no one in the history of the world has ever had sex for money. That's just ludicrous. Therefore, every person in history who has ever claimed they were having sex for money was totally into it and enjoying it, even if they refuse to admit it.

No, no gay only for gay porn.

Anyone can work where ever they like.

Heterosexuals are in charge of nearly everything else in this world. Gay porn should be by gays and for gays. Period!

If gays are to be in charge, we should each be in charge individually of spending what we want with our own money.

Trust me, bud... when I'm the one holding the camera and I'm yelling "I don't care what you smell... stick your face in there... smile... show some tongue!!".... I'm the one "in charge."

lol @ asking gay porn studios to end their most profitable genre.

And while we're at it: Stop selling oil, gas stations!

I think the demand for g4p is highly overstated. Most of the best selling dvds are out gay men barebacking. Online might be different as self loathing gay men can convince themselves they're not really gay if they're watching "straight" guys being convinced to have gay sex.

Since barebacking sells a lot more, why are the main studios not selling more of those? Supposedly, they're worried about the messages sent. If that's so, why aren't they worried about sending the message that being gay isn't good enough? Gay porn must have straight men looking disinterested and bored. Gay men must not be gay. They must be bisexual or participate in non-gay scenes. g4pers or alleged bisexuals are gushed over and made the new hot star simply because they're not gay: ex. Samuel O'Toole. His first scenes for next door were awful. He looked like a typical bored g4per. He even complained on his twitter that people that he was straight. Yet people went wild for him because they thought he was straight [and I never buy the bisexual thing so I just assume he's straight]. If he had been gay with same body, same dick and same performance level, I doubt anyone would have paid him attention. His scenes were that bad (something he's even grudgingly admitted). I'm not attacking O'Toole who seems like a great guy. I'm just discussing the hoopla about him.

I can't think of one online company that has an out gay man (not a bisexual, not a closeted man) as an exclusive. After watching Gay porn for 2 years I've come to the conclusion that a lot of the gp industry is extremely homophobic. Time and again, gay men are consistently told by this industry that being gay is less than; being a bisexual or straight is so much better. Yet why does no one worry about that message?

Since I've shared online my attempts to bottom more, I've become a go to person for gay men struggling with being gay, and I've seen firsthand how gay porn has negatively impacted them. It's something rarely discussed, but I think it's so important.

For those who say they're just hot bodies, and it's just sex, you obviously don't know what good sex is because it's very obvious who's into it and who isn't. It's the difference between the scene with Conner Habib and Alessio Romero on cocksure men and most of the videos from Next Door, Cockyboys or RandyBlue.

Um... Cocksure Men has Brady Jensen. And he won't be the last. Your friendly neighborhood Jasun loves you.

I love that you mention the Conner/Alessio scene. I still love watching that one. I've done a few scenes with two straight guys that I think are technically really good and hot.. but no... nothing with a straight guy in it has come close to the electricity of scenes like that or the Tyler Saint/Nick Moretti ones.

(OH, and for the record, my buddy Mason Wyler is gay and he's exclusive with Next Door for now. Sean Cody has a few gay guys on the roster now, too. One one of the Corbin twins is gay. But I know what you mean. Online is more of a "G4P" world.)

I thought of Jensen, but he was advertised as bisexual, and he has been listed as bisexual since leaving SC. There has been the suggestion that he's gay, but since I couldn't find anything listing him as openly gay, I didn't include him. If he's gay. I'm thrilled to hear it. It's rare in online porn.

It annoys me when gay men say the sexual identity of the performer doesn't matter because it does matter as you state. I would also mention Tucker Scott/Dean Phoenix as another one that shows being gay in gp does make a difference.

Sean Cody doesn't really advertise their performers as gay or straight anymore since the controversy. They're into using pronouns to hide the sexuality of the performers. The out gay ones are rare on SC. Most of them are listed as "bisexual" or Sean Cody cuts away when the performers start to talk about how they're enjoying the sex. The Corbin Twin also claims he's bisexual, and did straight scenes which is something you see a lot of: gay men in online porn doing straight scenes. Next Door is obsessed with doing that.

Online porn is definitely g4p and a lot of it is extremely homophobic. I can't imagine a straight owned company telling a straight performer to do a gay scene just for fun or to make him more popular with the viewers.
